Offspinner Bilal Asif will join the Pakistan Test squad in the UAE after undergoing a test of his bowling action in Chennai on Monday. Asif was reported for a suspect action following the third ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare earlier this month, but has been selected to provide spin cover for Pakistan.
Yasir Shah is expected to be fit for the second Test

An offer for Test teams to continue playing under floodlights, in order to avoid the farcical scenes at the end of Abu Dhabi Test on Saturday, was made by the ICC in the wake of a similar finish at The Oval in 2013 but rejected across the board by the Test match captains, including those of England and Pakistan

They don't see the woods for the trees. If Test cricket is going to survive, it has to provide entertainment. The FIrst Test ended in perfectly playable conditions. Fielders might not see the ball as well as they do in broad daylight, but it's not easy for batsmen when the ball swings about in overcast conditions or for the bowlers when the ball is wet. It's not a level playing field; it's all part of the game. It wasn't so dark that it was unfair to carry on playing.

England fast bowler Mark Wood will miss the one-day matches with Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates and will return home to see an ankle specialist.
Liam Plunkett will stay on to replace him

Moeen Ali returned to form as England beat Hong Kong by 169 runs in their warm-up match in Abu Dhabi before the one-day series against Pakistan.

However, England turned down the opportunity to play this as a proper ODI (Hong Kong ranked 13th and have ODI status) - opted to play as a 13-a-side match
Sorry but we need to do better - play the proper game and show Hong Kong a bit of respect

Jos Buttler struck the quickest century in England's ODI history, from just 46 balls, to help his side to a 3-1 series victory against Pakistan in the UAE.
Buttler's innings included eight sixes - another record for an England player in ODI cricket - as England posted 355 for 5, their highest total away from home. Only four times have they scored more.

He had 22 off 21 balls and reached his century in 46 balls. That's some acceleration.
