No press conference today. Looks like the only coach we will have in place by Saturday will be the ones taking the fans up to Milton Keynes. Nah, as I said in the other thread it will be Curbishley and Parker in charge. It’s been around 10 years since Curbs had sole responsibility and way back then his favoured format was 4-5-1 (kid you not – and that was at West Ham as well as Charlton). His problem here and now is that we don’t have many (any?) defensive midfielders. We know Husband is disqualified. Lonergan is still out. Not sure how Ream survived his International trips, but he didn’t last time and would only have got back yesterday. The RB pair of Richards and Fredericks were both expected to have recovered from their injuries by this game, but got to be question marks. Otherwise, everything is absolutely fine! The starting eleven then (gambling on Fredericks being okay): ……………………….Lewis………………………. ..Fredericks….Stearman....Burn…Garbutt.. ……………………..Tunnicliffe……………….. ...LVC…….......Cairney…O’Hara…..McCormack.. ………………………Dembele….

Yup, got that one wrong. Scotty Grant it is in charge. You got it spot on though 2whites, a lot of nothing said! Guess I'll just stick with the suggested line-up.
I just wonder with Grant picking the team if Hyndman might get a run out instead of Parker or did he play for the USA u21 Grant talks about shoring the defense up and think he might bring Parker back in sit along side Tunnicliffe and to allow O'Hara to do his passing further forward alongside Cairney. If Fredericks and Richards are still out would he try Grimmer rather than Ream at RB. ………………….Lewis………………………. ..Fredericks….Stearman....Burn.…Garbutt.. ...........Parker.......O’Hara.........Tunnicliffe.... .…….................Cairney…......... .......McCormack..…....…Dembele….
Hyndman was injured just before the break SuperBri and I don't believe he travelled - certainly didn't play. He didn't play for the U21s last night either but no idea whether that was because he's still injured or, as you suggest, in contention for tomorrow. Whichever, your point about Grant shoring up the defence is a good one. My preference would be a fit Hyndman - Parker's just been out for so long (a bit and half of friendlies only) that I feel he'd struggle.
Looks like the Club is in lockdown - not a peep anywhere, not even in the local 'exclusives' paper, with team news.
It should be a good victory for us, going by squads and league position - even without a manager I think we should get the win, there is a lot of experience in the team. Hopefully it's not read as a sign that Curbs is the man for the job
From what I can gather a point was pretty good from a team that produced a lacklustre performance. But somebody please, please tell me Grant didn't play the 'Diamond' !!
I did go today and it wasn't pretty. For me it was two poor sides battling away and a draw was a fair result. We could have won we could have lost - one of those games ! Quite a few players missing today so we should take that into account but no-one had a good game really. Defence I'm afraid was shaky, Burn turned a few times, Garbutt did a few good things but equally had a few shockers, Voser was Voser and Dembele tried. As for shape well it was all over the place. Good support today but even with 16K in the ground it was only half full and is such a poor atmosphere. One of the worst I've ever been to. Anyway a point it is. It could have been worse.
Did he play the 'Diamond', COYW? And for those that can't be bothered with the 90 seconds on the CH5 Football League show here's a link to the highlights (or not so high in the case of one Moussa effort!) - http://www.skysports.com/football/mk-dons-vs-fulham/report/339730?
Hmmm. Thanks COYW. Makes me wonder why Grant changed things when on his own admission "it was difficult for the players, they had someone else earlier and me for only two days". Also, why did he go on to criticize the team in a press interview saying, "“The first half was difficult, we started okay but I could see the flaws in the team that we have”.
Do these guys really know how the game is played? Baffled by their ineptitude. Surely they can look at the available players and work out a system that plays to their strengths?
A bit of a dull game, neither bench got their tactics right. No real outstanding player. No co-ordination between any of our players. Again another case of too much possession getting nowhere, no end product. I liked their stadium, large concourse for food an drink, seat was the cushioned type with enough space. Drinking with the Dons fans after I think they were happier then we were with the draw.
