Lyreen Legend and Letter Of Credit were a good bit behind SDS turning in (8-10L at the second last), the outclassed Maggio who chased Rubi Light first was in front of him by a length and already stopping to eventually finish last. SDS was running faster in the straight than he was on the previous circuit as you would expect, about 2 seconds faster, and Rubi Light was running slower, but he didnt accelerate past Rubi Light, the acceleration ie the switch from cruising speed to top speed happened long before Rubi Light stopped, SDS maintaining his top speed while Rubi Light got slower and slower just gives the impression of acceleration.
Sheena West trainer of the mighty horse CANNON FODDER and also the internet sensation that is Rocket Roy aka Mr Muddle and Mattie Batchelor of corse! I will not hear any bad word spoken about my local trainer
I never once said he accelerated by Rubi Light??? His acceleration was when he rounded the bend to the 2nd last fence. He just walked in for Cooper then cause RL was cooked. Fantastic workout.
His acceleration was before then, and youre just at it. Look, SDS ran to about 147 today, lets just congratulate all the horses on the acceleration they each showed in the race and lets hope for a speedy recovery for Mala Beach who took a nasty looking fall, not that it got mentioned on here, was joked he will be out at the weekend though.
That's not a joke. Gordon gave him an immediate entry(stated he's likely to run I mean) for Gowran Saturday??? Morison BMW Chase 2.45 p.m Says the guy crabbing a horse after a life threatening injury on his come back run Your some WUM i'll give ya that
This race needs an objective eye it would seem. SDC won nicely enough and since the run to the second last is slightly downhill it is possible, with the use of gravity,he did quicken slightly. Either way a good comeback after such an hiatus...don't forget he was hampered by the weakening Mala Beach when that one crashed out and lost momentum and ground. Loads to prove as far as I'm concerned.
