    Any idea?

Will Watmore start, what about Borini or Lens.

O.Shea will start but with who?

PVA left out for Jones and Yedin?

    Any idea?

It's got fullback nightmare written all over it. Could be swayed with Mathews at leftback and Jones at right to see how that goes. Hard working wide man also required to deal with the sheer direct pace we're going to deal with. Not a fan of 442 but Sam had some decent success at West Ham with the diamond and it will give us protection on the flanks.

    Pants
    Mathews----Kaboul----O'Shea----Jones
    M'Vila
    Watmore-----------------------Borini
    Johnson
    Defoe---------Fletcher

Subs:Vito, Coates, PVA, Yedlin, Larsson, Lens, Ola

Like the look of that team but ive really got no idea who he will play. Think watmore is a must tbh bench at the very least..

I like the look of that but don;t think the defence has enough protection - M'Vila is better in that role with someone next to him (Cattermole actually but not sure if he's fit) Cabaye is a quality player - way better than the levels of Newcastle and Palace (although he's one of the dirtiest players I've ever seen!)

Like the "Watmore - Borini - Johnson" behind the striker as well - all capable of moving to any one of the three positions and all direct and quick (when Johnson can be arsed!)

I'd have Defoe on the bench and Fletcher up on his own with someone next to M'Vila. no idea who's fit to Partner M'Vila mind but both full backs desperately need support from whoever's in front with the players they'll have running at them

Palace's wide men need dealt with, Bolasie and Zaha.

They're tricky players to deal with, I'm sure Sam Allardyce will have identified this early and got his tactics set up around those two. Cabaye can be dealt with by getting close to him, man marking him (M'Vila) and drawing him into making a foul, once he's on a yellow card he's not half as effective.

Thing is mate the horrible **** gets away with murder, he should pick up a lot more bookings then he does.

To be honest mate, I've not watched an awful lot of Palace since he joined them, but I know how he is on the pitch. He's not a very good tackler and gets frustrated easily. Palace have pace and with him pulling the strings, you can see why they do so well.

Saw him plenty for Newcastle and for France and in both shirts he seemed to have a "cabaye" level for bookings which was at the exact opposite end of the scale to the Cattermole level - he was far dirtier than Cattermole (last few seasons) yet seems to get very little in retribution. Will have a proper look on Monday as to whether he's changed since being at PSG as I haven't seen much of him this season

Foreign players know how to disguise it better mate, they're taught how to deal with their weaknesses from an early age, English players are just discarded if they show any signs of being **** at something, apart from Scholes. Unfortunately for you lot, Cattermole has one of those faces you'd never get tired of punching, so he gets it double bad!

I hope that we line up like this
    -----------------Pants
    Yedlin - Kaboul - O'Shea - Jones
    -----------M'Villa - Larson
    Johnson ------ Lens ---------- Borini
    -----------------Fletcher

Can't see Big Sam going for that though probably too attack minded so I'd expect one of the 3 behind the striker (probably Lens) to be replaced by another midfielder, Watmore must be worth a go for the last half hour but to be honest I think getting Borini, Lens and AJ in the team playing well is more important to us at the minute.

Believe me he hasn't, no longer baby faced, but still a real nasty piece of work, as someone mentioned the complete opposit to Catts, but I wish we had him all the same.

I think the main threat is on the flanks and it's the area we've been most vulnerable defensively all season. I'm tired of us being toothless when we play 1 up too. I'd go with my team myself, obviously, because it's my team. <laugh>:p

Aye possibly right mate but I'd go with my team... I wouldn't mind toothless if it got us a 0-0 down there TBH. They're flying at the minute and have some good players in their ranks despite a ****er of a manager!! Be good to see the good side of the Everton performance attack wise and the good side of the Mags performance defence wise all in the same game!

Wonder how Connor will be received by the fans! You all know I was a fan of his when here and would've liked to have kept him - he has the ability to play very well and I have seen him do it - not often enough I hasten to add, but if Monday is his "1 in 4" then he'll be an asset to them! If it's one of the other 3 in 4, he'll be an asset to us!

Of course fella and fair dos. I think they're perfectly beatable if you shut their flanks down. Pardew isn't the most adaptable manager and the teams who've nutralised their flanks have fared well this season

Yeah that's it - but our weakest point of the team has been defending the flanks! could be another Everton!! Or it could be that Sam has been working hard on that as he seems to be good with his analysis!! Are you his stat-man? :)

That's why I want Watmore and Borini on the flanks instead of Lens and AJ, they work harder defensively and can give our fullback better protection, the diamond means they'll be set up deeper.

Nah the stat man is Mark Taylor. I taught him everything I know <whistle>

I think M'Villa and Catts must start in order to nullify their attacking prowess and I may be tempted to play Watmore and Lens to add pace to the team. Not sure of Mathews, maybe stick with Yedlin for his pace. Liked Fletcher and De Foe partnership up front. Center backs Jos and Kaboul if fit.
