    Clough's teams certainly had a system
    442 formation
    Attacking fullbacks, notably Viv Anderson, Gary Charles and Stuart Pearce
    Wingers who could dribble, be it John Robertson and Martin O'Neill in the late 70s/early 80s, or Gary Crosby, Tommy Gaynor or Franz Carr in the late 80s/early 90s
    One striker who could hold up the ball and one poacher
