Morning all, I for one am quite happy that these loans have been held up for some reason, and I think I know why. Evans will be looking for loans to help us survive. Simple as. Fair enough, but Cellino's methodology is to only take on loans with a buy option, and that might be the hold up - the players mentioned might not mind going out on loan, but it will only be to resurrect their Premiership careers, not to possibly sink with all hands at Leeds. Therein lies the problem. Even if they are interested, the 'buy' negotiations might be a bit of a sticking point, particularly wages & player valuation. I must go on record & support Cellino if this is the case. I like the idea of only bringing in loanees who will be part of our future if they're successful. How many millions have we wasted in the past decade on numpties? Why would we want t start that again?
I presume you would review that if taking conventional loanees was the difference between staying up and going down? I think Cellino should listen to our coach if Evans thinks we need loans to survive. Cellino needs to listen to football people on football matters as he patently knows **** all about it.
I think Evans may have undermined himself a little by getting the back to back wins. We might have to wait until an for any signings now -perm or loan..
And that's the problem. Cellinos idea of long term planning and reviewing past trends only relates two or three games backwards or forwards. Uncertainty and chaos is all he ever does.... No point having a coach and ignoring him.
Don't you think Neil that we need to freshen things up when it comes to set pieces as we are woeful when was the last time we scored from a corner.I hope someone has a better memory than me! That's why we need Lafferty presumably that's why we are after him or am I missing something
I think with loans the attitude is maximum games for minimum money... So time the signings for after the international break (if they are coming at all). Of course that way they miss out on two weeks acclimatisation with their new teammates... But it saves a few quid
I don't think it is the height we lack, it is the quality of the corner takers that needs addressing.
Was about to post the same. Standard of crossing from set pieces is shocking. We can get who we want in and it wont make any difference if the service isnt there
As long as that's all I'm showing I'm OK. At my age if I remember to put my trousers on in the morning I've cracked it.
Recently I watched Peter Whittingham take them that's how they should be taken Mowatt and Murphy are poor at best, agree with Ristac and Eire on this one
Afternoon all. Think Evans will be looking at loanees to take the club forward. As such, they should be loanees with the option to buy & be capable of going into at least the starting squad of 16
Oh to have someone with the quality of Ian Hartes left peg. I just dont get it. Professionals earning a fortune and most of the time they cant even lift the ball over someone ten yards away. How can you call yourself a footballer if you cant kick a ball
