<laugh> Yep, certainly did. Since you ruined his career he gone on to win the FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League.

Not really the point. He was obviously talking about the fact that he went from a feared world class striker who made top class defenders like Vidic shaking in their boots when facing him to a laughing stock who couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.

It wasn't only Torres that was given those promises!

Torres should take the club to court for life threatening behaviour. No club should be allowed to get away with holding a gun to a players head <ok>

And no player should be allowed to hold a gun to a clubs head, Sterling is a prime example of player power, it might be argued that we made a massive profit when we let him go but the club wanted him to stay and were ****ing cowards not to hold him to his contract, he was on peanuts considering what was offered to him and he should have been put in the youth team as punishment for the humiliation he caused the club.
Instead they let him off with having to sign a transfer request and in doing so had to pay the scrote 10% of his fee as a loyalty bonus.

That only matters if you think that sharing in the success brought to you by others is more important than pride in one's personal performance.
Only a fool would deny that Torres' career trajectory went spectacularly downwards from the heights of his first couple of years at LFC, despite being able to show trophies he made only a marginal contribution to earning.
