I'm a bit of a collector of old footy video's but my City collection isn't great. Does anyone have any old matches or season reviews they fancy selling, swapping, loaning? I have these already, I've put them on DVD. I've got a few, 101 goals of the decade (90s) plus a couple of others (will check at home tonight). How / where did you convert to DVD? I've been meaning to do this for ages as no longer have a VHS player.
I've got that 100 goals one, I won it on a CityOnline.com competition! I have a VHS player and a DVD recorder hooked up. I pick up old vids from ebay and car boots and convert them. I love old season reviews, doesn't matter which team. I'm stuck in the 90's really.
not what your after, but theres some good viewing on youtube of old games/highlights, was on there the other week for a few hours completely lost track of time... not just footie either, found myself engrossed in some 80,s arrows action, eric bristow v jocky wilson..top stuff
I've found one, it's called Waggy & Chillo - A nostalgic look back at their careers, just looked inside the cover and it's go both of their autographs on it.
I have to ask Theo, were you at that home game v Tranmere, when due to both they're keepers going off with head injury's , Whitmore came on in goal ? We put four past him,and we (east stand) were chanting,Theo, give us a wave,Theo Theo give us a wave.He didn't,but he did stand hands on hips and give us a huge toothy smile. You could see he was dying to wave ! It was comedy gold !
I have a VHS copy of City V Whitby Town in the FA cup when city won 8-4 after extra time, hoping to get it transferred on to dvd but then am happy to let you have it..
I was. I haven't misses a home match since January 2001. That was a special one. I've never seen two keepers crocked before. Theo trying to get out of the way of Elliott's penalty was great. That'd be great. I'd happily transfer it for you and send you the tape and DVD back. Not to worry if you've got something lined up though. I have a DVD someone sent me that is marked as Hull City 60's and 70's highlights. I think that might be the Waggy and Chillo one that was mentioned.
Any of the old City one's would you mind linking me to? I fancy seeing what it was all about before i was even born!
