Carl Frampton tweeted about it saying Rousey just couldn't deal with the southpaw stance of Holm. Will definately be interesting to see how Ronda responds to this. She still looks devastated but Holm has said rematch definately on. Great performance by her.

Ronda showed very little respect before or during the fight. She knew what Holm would do but walked straight into the punches and kicks regardless. Ronda as apparently got a broken jaw (three places) and has had to have it wired. Neither Ronda nor Holm will fight until a rematch is arranged. Ronda is doing Hollywood **** first I think.
Head of UFC Dana White has said this is untrue; only stitches in lip. Rumour started with apparent quotes from White so assuming new statement is accurate. But yeah she has filming early next year so talking of June onwards for rematch...
Good win for Holm, nice kick, deserved as well since Rousey had started to get very arrogant, thinking she was invincible and that she'd never get beat Both are borderline looks-wise, in one or two pics they both look reasonably fit and in other totes fuggers, Rousey better for me although she didn't look great exactly after that kick ... down on the matt, Holm slamming fists into her face, mouth leaking blood
I think Rousey will win the rematch tbh, she's prob suffered from having no real competition for so long that when some proper competition showed up she got a wakeup call. Her gameplan was pants though
pretty much man, I followed pro boxing from the days it was on Eurosport, the early days of Nigel Benn and Eubanks, Collins and loads of others. Then PPV ****in killed the sport. It took 15 years but they killed it.

Rousey can't box though, in fact she's very bad at it for a UFC fighter. I wasn't surprised a decent boxer knocked her out tbh. Rousey has relied on her other attributes and done very well, but watch some clips of her boxing, shocking Anyway - forget that. It's all about the Aldo vs Mcgregor fight. Can't wait
Rousey has been fighting bums for too long, not her fault, no one could deal with her arm bars. First opponent that isn't having that arm bar beats the **** out of her. Holm had 9 MMA fights record 9 - 0. Several boxing titles including world titles. Holm is a boxer\kickboxer. She's had 50? pro fights, twice as many as Rousey. When you see holm in the octogon she's build like a large cat, rock hard muscle everywhere, I wouldn't fancy a go off her Can't wait for McGregor Aldo, though Aldo has pulled out of 5 title fights to date, there is no guarantee he will fight McGregor at this point. Am interested to see how McGregor will react if he loses cos he's been talking so much smack. Aldo on the floor is better all day long but McGregor can put away any UFC fighter in his weght with punches even going backwards he can knock you out and his range finding is second to none. Aldo has devastating leg kicks and this brazilian jujitsu is fantastic. McGregor has to keep this one on feet imo or he's toast, Aldo needs to keep this game on teh floor early on or he's toast. I am suspecting Also might just win this due to his ground game as McGeegor leaves himself open to be taken down. For aldo not to lose a fight in 10 years in MMA is something else
I agree with all that tbh. I've not seen anyone strike like McGregor since Anderson Silva, his stand up game is second to none right now. As you say Aldo is good on the floor and his knee is like a brick, and he knows how to use it!! Aldo hasn't had too many knockouts though, quite often he wins going the distance. That's not taking anything away from him as he's 10 years unbeaten. I just think the UFC has really stood up and took notice of McGregor, yeah he likes to talk - but he can back it up. Shame Aldo has backed out already from this fight and Mendes stepped in. Mendes stepping in did show that McGregor can take on ground fighters though as Chad is one of the best wrestlers as you probably know. Two weeks notice iirc wasn't the best idea for Chad though I'm swaying towards a McGregor win. He hasn't come to take part he's come to take over If he loses he's going to look like a right dick!!

I was thinking same but Dana white rightly pointed out that we are all making this call after the fact. There were several game plans she could have gone with, she went for a 1st round arm bar because she didn't want a few rounds with a boxer\kick boxer because there is a range issue so she had to get close. I think Rousey just did not factor how hard Holm hits, and being a southpaw hard left and right hands kept smashing Rousey in the face. White also said if she won with said tactics we'd all be calling her a genius
