Don't forget, cops are also getting shot in america. The US would do well to retrain its police force as some really lack the ability to think rationally in a tense situation.

And ours do already, though its rare as there's only ever limited threat from guns, so few coppers ever deal with them. But on 7/7 a Brazilian was killer in error.

The was approached and was held down, something you don't do to a "suicide bomber" and shot 8 or 9 times point blank as he was suppressed, the fact he clearly had no explosives or anything didn't matter. He didn't resist, they approached him and assassinated him.

Just straightening out the facts like.

No one answered for that murder. Say it was a mistake and all is well

I think the same logic works for police as well as people re gun control. If all police have guns then there is infinitely more chance they will use lethal force right away, which is what is ocurring.

same for us average joes, plentyful guns and plentyful gun deaths.

I mean looking at UK police killings compared to US police killings, you can see the same logic applies to cops as to the general public

Not sure what this or your previous post has to do with what I was saying bbf. I was merely pointing out the job is thankless most of the time and this continued anti police rhetoric in the US is doing more harm than good.

The police need to be trusted but they also have to be trustworthy. Right now they are neither and this creates tension. Police then feel intimidated and panic.

Most police officers are good people but like so often, a few bad apples spoil it.

I've gone back and re-read what you posted and if that's not what you've said then I dont know what your point is. How has he tried to ally himself as a victim of these atracks based on ppl on here having a pop at ISIS (the perpetrators)?

Actually, for once I have no argument with a word Sis says here. Bottom line is, if you arm the police (do we have a choice, in some circumstances/) some will inevitably **** up and, as was the case with Hillsborough, for instance, they will then lie through the back teeth about it.

I still couldn't envisage a society without police though.

What I am saying is they have now become a self serving organisation.

State sheriffs literally prey on the populations

Here is an example, people complain about excessive force after a man arrested for no crime has a broken neck after an hour in a police van.

What do detroit cops do, literally.. they said they don't feel like doing their jobs because of criticism, crime stats went up.

That is the power of the police unions over there. When cop shoots someone, he calls his union rep before he calls an ambulance. Fact.

AS for bad apples, if they cannot be sacked, they drive out the good cops and over time all you have is bad apples.

Given you can choke a man and kill him on a newyork street for no crime on camera and get away with it.. then yeah, you will accumulate bad apples for sure

The police fcked up and maybe tried to save their own skin... or the government or police commissioner.

But I just hope Sisu wasnt insinuating the police knowingly shot an innocent man. If they knew for a second he wasn't a suicide bomber, I doubt they would have shot him.

He's turned attacks upon the pepertrators and the links with their twisted version of their faith as attacks upon himself and his shared faith (though unarguably different interpretation). He's then elevated his experiences as being some sort of victim with our society.

Come on, keep up. You may or may not agree with that interpretation of the discussion, but you'd be ****ing hard pressed to make a case that I or any other poster have said he 'supported' the terrorists.

Trust me when I say I have experience of the very best and worst kinds of police officer. I was brought up by one and my uncle is another. My uncle is a credit to all police officers. The person who brought me up was a disgrace to the badge. He is your typical bad apple, fortunately he has never had a gun so nobodies died as a result of this scumbag. He's currently under investigation.

I can't say any more obviously. I have to believe there are more like my uncle than him. Here and in the US.
 
Got to be said, if you're going to have an anthem that's the best in the world (apart from SA? Or the Soviet Union...).

There were 10 cops there, 1 was good the 9 were bad.
A good cop stopped him choking a cuffed guy, the cop turns and punchers her in the face and the other cops hold her too.

The cop that choked the suspect, later gets suspended for choking anothe cop!"

he's still a ****ing cop after beating a female colleague and choking a male colleague.

That's why they are all bad apples, because the good ones get fired.

or get this, another cop, I can back this up, was in a struggle with a gunman, his partner ran and none of the other cops responded because it was too close to their shifts end!! the cop complained about his colleague running and leaving him there and no one responding to his call, he got fired.

Cops will now take anything more that a few hundred dollars from you in asset forfeiture and you never see it again, they hire clowns and buy slushie machines out of your cash
