If I was attending i'd keep my head bowed, thinking of those who have passed away while listening to French men and women singing the song of their land. I think that shows more solidarity than people attempting to sing a language they can't even speak.
This. I'm fine with people trying to sing it, but it isn't ours to sing. Anyone who can't speak French will have a nightmare with them anyways, they're quite complicated. I think listening and appreciating what they sing is more respectful and shows as much solidarity.
Having checked out the lyrics, I definitely won't be attempting any singing, they look way too complicated for a non-French speaker. I might give them a burst of Frère Jacques at the end, just to show willing.
I think the people who are not going to sing will not be at the match. The people at the match will sing and show solidarity.
I'll ask again, so you're suggesting people not singing are not showing solidarity? Because that is a stupidly ignorant view.
It's fine Quill, each to their own, we'll all show our solidarity and respect in our own way, it's what makes us human beings, again with the obvious exception of Bob.
Are you one of these people who goes to a non-English speaking country and just shouts louder in English?
It's not easy if you have near enough no idea about it. Which is the majority of English who will be at Wembley. You seem to have an incredibly ignorant view on this.
I've said what I think. You've said enough for me to know that your opinion is worthless and all you want to do is argue and insult.
What's all this bullshit about showing solidarity? What's the great need? Its just the latest Cecil/refugee crisis/diesel scandal.
Ah I see. So you are incredibly ignorant then. I thought you were more mature than that. It seems not. Shame. I'm not going to sing. I'm going to be silent. And in my silence I will still be showing solidarity and respecting those who have passed on. Deal with it.
