It might be interesting if both sides played in red, white and blue...<whistle>

One could play in red, white and blue and the other could play in blue, white and red.

I thought Vardy had a slight injury?

He does, it was mentioned in the Spain thread.

There's only really Kane in the squad to pick up front. Rooney shouldn't be near starting.

You are right. He's withdrawn from the squad. It will be interesting to see whether Kane will be given more game time.
I don't think Rooney will be played as a lone striker.

This match now represents so much more than a footie game; the result whatever it is will be almost secondary. Got 0-0 written all over it

I think the opposite on the score - I think there almost has to be a goal. Particularly by France.

The score is absolutely irrelevant of course.

Bill Shankly was wrong all those years ago.

I predict that, in about 16 years, Tom Huddlestone will become City's record goalscorer.

**** off its a football match. And it's against France.

The result is all that matters, despite it being a friendly, it's still those ****s.

Obviously the out and out murder of over 120 totally innocent people is devastating, however one of the side effects is awe inspiring, and tonight at Wembley is going to be a sight to behold, and one that I'm immensely looking forward to.

The respect and unity that we are showing to our French cousins fills me, and clearly many others*, with pride and emotion, and I'd wager those murdering bastards didn't bank on that!

    *Obviously Bob excepted.

I know I'm walking an absolute tightrope with this one, but for me it is an elephant in the room, so I'll ask it, but expect I'll have to delete this and subsequent replies if it goes as as I expect.

There's at least one other party that needs to show solidarity here. Is there planned to be a representation at the game from the various European muslim groups?

Why do they need to show anything at a football game? It's a football game not an international sympathy meeting. There needs to be nothing of the sort, that's for news cameras.

I think all the English fans should stay quiet during their anthem and applaud it afterwards! Definitely not sing it! Then get at down the flanks! :emoticon-0148-yes:
