Like the look of CATCHIN TIME 8/1 Plumpton 2.35 tomorrow . Was progressing very nicely last season before the progressed was halted by a nasty tumble. I think the yard have given this one plenty of time to get his confidence back. Accordingly he has dropped back to a fair mark and I think his progression can get back on track. The Best horse would be an obvious danger but there seems to be almost zero interest in him.
Burning blaze 1625 wolves. 1st run since leaving olly Stevens "apparently" all over Twitter. 18/1 currently
Guys...seen who is getting punted for the Wolves 2.55 tomorrow?!?!? No ****ing way am I getting involved in that!!!!!!
Might have a cheeky Monday bet on Lacey there. Will be avoiding Lamps after his refusal last time out
Stable money from the Blake barn is very rarely left in those bookie chappies satchels. Old boy Lamps hasn’t run on the level for close on 5 and a half years and has to be one of the most ‘nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more’ runners for quite some time... Meanwhile, this is quite chortle worthy. For ages now the town where I work has been advertising, and boasting about, the fact that its Christmas Lights, later this week, would be turned on by a very popular beat combo. Last night the most famous member of which turned up as a contestant on that ‘I’m in the Jungles’ programme! The town is up in arms and in a right old flux! I have though e-mailed the Council and put myself forward as a possible replacement.
Le Mercurey and Ashcott Boy today, both at Plumpton. The former I think could be a good chaser this year.
Spag Bol. 4/10. The bol was decent but I’m afraid the spag was most disappointing. Early support for Lamps seems to have evaporated now. A best priced 14’s is available. Mr Ponsonby’s charge seems to be the one attracting the support in that heat now.
Only 7 in the ‘Betfair Chase’ at the 5 day stage. That £1 million bonus scheme thingy really worked didn’t it?!? Cor bally blinkin’ blimey.
King has used this 1.30 as a springboard to some his better chasers in recent years and I think Inner Drive could be useful enough too. 3/1 is fair.
I think by the time Saturday comes we may be down to just 5 runners. Rebecca Curtis has expressed a preference for Ascot for her horse and, if the ground is as bad as predicted, I can see connections of Holywell drawing stumps.
Just the one more for the day. Theligny in Leicester's last at 3/1. Ran a nice one of King's called Wishing and Hoping to a length on hurdles debut and should go close on just his 2nd hurdle start. Flashjack looks a big danger on his bumper form behind Ballyhenry though.
Cheers, got on at what I thought was a nice price last night, good to have a winner after a difficult Paddy Power meeting.
