Not withstanding any other posts on this thread, this is a ridiculous post. Oh just cos Belgium didn't score against him then he must be amazing? So by that same token Luis Suarez is ****e cos he didn't score when we beat Liverpool.
You keep making this claim, but it's bollocks, he was more than happy to stay, he even turned down s better offer from another club because he thought going there would piss off City fans. The only thing that's tragic, is that you haven't got a clue what you're talking about.
I'm sure Chester didn't want to leave. He thought that we had a very good chance of getting promotion at the first attempt. It's not a good move to be seen moaning in the press though but sometimes a question has to be answered as not answering or lying gives an even worse impression.
This is always the risk when a player moves, stick or twist. For many of them sticking probably turns out to be the best option.
I think his stay at WBA could be a short one, would not be surprised if Swansea come calling in the January window they were interested in him last summer, 8 million is a lot of dosh to pay out and not play the guy, plus I think he's been poorly advised talking to the press about it, I don't think Pulis will be impressed .
Obviously this will be ripped to bits as I have no evidence but I was told Chester didn't want to leave and before the transfer went through asked if he could stay but as the fee was too much of a good one to turn down the transfer went ahead.
A lot of the fans on the WBA forums are at a loss to understand why he was bought by Pulis in the first place, as in there words he's not a Pulis type player, half the fans want shut the other half say he's been pissed around and Pulis hasn't a clue what to do with him.
I dont think anyone would argue that could easily be the case. We needed to recoup some serious money in the summer. The positions we were best served by in terms of strength in depth were centre back and down the left. It's no surprise therefore that we sold 2 good yet disposable players in those positions
