The threat level remains high because of continuing concerns about the likely action of people returning from fighting on behalf of rebel forces in Syria, the NCTV says. Around 100 Dutch nationals have so far gone to Syria, of whom about 70 remain in the country, the NCTV says. Some 20 have since returned to the Netherlands and 10 have been killed. Monitoring Dutch policy remains one of discouraging people from heading to Syria and closely monitoring those who return. So far, 11 people have had their passports cancelled or refused and others are pending, the NCTV says. Several minors have been placed in custody or under social work supervision because of fears they were planning to head for Syria. In four cases, people have lost their social security benefits and other cases are also pending. All people known to be in Syria have lost their entitlement to benefits. In October, two people were taken to court for recruiting youngsters to fight in Syria. One has been jailed for attempted murder and the other sent to psychiatric prison for planning arson attacks and spreading jihadist texts. The whereabouts of the remaining 4,000 is unknown, and they may have remained in the Netherlands without papers, the broadcaster says. Nevertheless, 31% of those refused refugee status left the country voluntarily, compared with 18% in 2011. Refugees are only sent home or deported to countries which are considered safe, such as the Balkans, Nigeria and Kosovo. Parliament is due to debate the refugee crisis later on Thursday. The Netherlands has a policy of evicting failed asylum seekers from refugee centres if they refuse to cooperate with their deportation. Refugee organisation Vluchtelingenwerk estimates some 5,000 would-be refugees are turned out onto the street every year. Several hundred high profile failed asylum seekers are currently squatting or living in temporary accommodation in Amsterdam and other cities. My blood boils when I hear their tv interviews claiming their wish is to get to Britain because they love Britain and the British people. Selective love I think of the parts where they think Britain is giving and providing. But it will still be - you're not giving, you're giving but not enough, we want our way of life, we choose to stay in our communities but say it's your fault we aren't part of anything even though we won't join in anything so now we hate you. But still give us the money because we don't want to go back to our origin.

The police and the politicians know who the people are who are a risk to this country. The problem in this country is the term human rights. Scumbag do gooder lawyers and campaigners protect extremists because treating them as they should be treated is a breach of their human rights. If you are a radicalized jihadi, you care little for the human rights of others and are intent on murder. In that instance, the police and MI5 should be given special powers to deal with these people. You cannot negotiate or reason with people who believe they will become martyrs in paradise. They should be hunted down, arrested, prosecuted and then executed if and when found guilty. **** their rights.

Our army isn't even fighting in Syria mate. You could still go and join the fight though, go and join the YPG there's quite a few western lads fighting with them now.
