Here's a link, there's been a few people asking about this. Hopefully at some point in the next 3 years I'll be able to get a season ticket again, with this scheme going on it's going to make it pretty hard to attend on an adhoc basis I think. I'll be very much relying on charitable thoughful friends... (as per usual, if anyone's reading!).

interesting question about season ticket holders. are the points automatically allocated for all home games in advance giving ST holders a 37 point head start on anybody else? a mate of mine works away a lot as he has his own company. he tends to miss at least five home games a season. the thing is, he might not be there. but he's still payed to be there. so does he get the points or not?

An interesting question, if he has paid for a ticket I would have thought yes he should get them.

I'd imagine as long as the stub of the ticket involved (I'm assuming he passes matchtickets for games he can't attend on to friends?) is scanned at the turnstile he'll still get the points?

well, he does if anybody wants them. i've had them myself from him. but sometimes he's away for weeks at a time so it just doesn't get used.

except they dont scan anything do they, it would be a manual sift and I cannot seriously see anybody at the club searching for specific tickets

Are there not barcodes on the tickets? I'd be surprised if that wasn't introduced otherwise I don't see how they could keep track...

You'll be expected to produce the stubs from the tickets upon collecting them just like we have had to do in the past, if your stubs don't add up to the right number of points you don't get the tickets.

Not sure to be honest, there may well be barcodes on the tickets, but there are certainly no scanners at the turnstiles

Ah there we go then. I knew there'd be a logical solution!

Sounds like something from the dark ages. Surely they can set up a scanning system and keep the points in a database that fans can log onto. Would cost next to nothing to implement.

You purchase tickets online so when you buy, the points will be allocated.

I don't think season ticket holders should be able to use their points to buy additional tickets for matches that are covered by the season ticket. Spare matchday tickets should be sold to non-ST fans.
