Chinese take always don't serve food they eat themselves, its rubbish that's adapted for English or Irish pallets. Same goes for other restaurants I believe
OK, smartass. Read it all again. I am NOT defending terrorists. Don't you EVER accuse me of that. If you re-read my posts, you'll find that I'm stating that I don't like the Muslim religion, and don't like the Christian religion either, for very similar reasons. Why you think this is me excusing these atrocities, I have no idea. I await your apology. For the record, my stepbrother was blown up in Afghanistan and died of his wounds after a year of agony & operation after operation. His best pal survived the same blast, but lost an arm & both legs. If you don't believe me, Google him - Col Sgt Alan Cameron of the Scots Guards. Died just after meeting Prince Charles at York Minster. The footage of the meeting will no doubt be on Youtube. He's the guy with half his head missing. So don't ever tell me what I'm thinking. You most certainly didn't find me supporting extremist violence on here, or anywhere else for that matter. You never will.
Actually, in my experience, you can get all of the UK 'Chinese' food in China. Was over there in 2002 & 2003 before they threw the doors open to visitors in the way they're open now. To be fair, their menus there are far more extensive than here, involving things you'd never dream of eating.
He did say almost.... And sorry Neil you have taken on a very superior hectoring tone on this one. We are all entitled to an opinion. However that doesn't mean the Rest of arnt sorry to hear of your loss. Perhaps it's too big a subject for a forum....
Found this on the web, after seeing a BBC documentary. Of course, does not make this true. But I will be asking If You Buy Halal, You Are Indirectly Financing Terrorism Via Zakat Islamic law requires a 2.5% tax called zakat which is imposed on income and accumulated wealth of all devout Muslims involved in the halal industry- the imams, slaughtermen, workers, business & shop owners etc. One of the five pillars of Islam is the requirement that every Muslims contribute to the Islamic charity (alms) tax or Zakat. According to the Qur’an, the Zakat funds must be used for the following purposes. The Fuqara poor. They are the poor who do not beg for support. The Masakin. The destitute; They are the poor who beg for support. Amil’ Zakah. Those who administer the collection and distribution of the Zakat funds. Mu’Allaf. Those who may be enticed to Islam as well as new converts who need financial support. Riqab. Those in bondage; Those Muslim slaves who may have their freedom purchased. Fi sabi `Lillah. Those who are fighting in the Cause of Allah, e.g., the Mujahideen. Ibn as’Sabil. The wayfarer; Muslim travelers who need assistance while on a journey. Gharimun – ‘people burdened with debt’ One of the purposes of the Zakat tax is to support those struggles in the Cause of Allah (6.). The Noble Qur’an states that Allah’s Cause entails supporting Mujahideen or those who are fighting in the battles and wars of Allah. So, it is no wonder that Islamic charitable organizations send funds to militant organizations who fight in the Cause of Allah. From the perspective of many non-Muslims, some of these militant organizations are terrorist organizations. Yes, echo that.
WJ. Absolutely I will apologise. I'm also not suggesting anyone should like or dislike anyone or any religion. My point was that we can't equate who did worse to who or who did it first, which sounded like you were and apologies again if I misinterpreted. The people that died yesterday were simply having an ordinary night out and probably / possibly had no idea they had "offended" anyone (or cared). I am sorry for the loss of your friends and family and like those last night they wouldn't not have deserved but without arguing I don't think I ever told you what you were thinking.
Feck, I was about to go to bed. Better stay up for another hour, I'd definitely have nightmares after that
