Steve Bruce has a far better claim to being bitter about not getting a cap, than a second division striker who had one season in the top flight and didnt do it. That he's ours has no bearing on whether he should have had an England Cap.
Lot's of club's all time record goal scorers never played for England, it doesn't make them ****. FFS some of them aren't even English. At another time he may have been good enough but in his time there were better players ahead of him. That's all.
