I know that problem. Whilst i was waiting for my laptop to be returned i had to use my iPod and it kept dying. I was cursing all the time.

Being a Harry Potter geek, I'm a little ashamed to say I haven't seen HP7 Part 1, so can't see Part 2 yet. But the films don't really cut it for me! I've just given in and started reading the 6th book again before I read the 7th. Then I'll get the DVDs and watch them back-to-back and get annoyed that they miss the important bits out and pronounce the names wrongly and no doubt cry...

Morning all from Paris, the journey across was great till we hit the traffic coming into Paris on the bus from the Airport, then trying to get on the Metro at 8pm, not something which I would advise especially with a suitcase and a holdall to attend to<yikes> It actually took longer to get from the Airport than fly to CDG! Still here now and up bright and early. No don't know why:( Anyway speak to you all later.

Morning All, After a lot of fiddling with the computer last night it actually seems to be much better this morning. I wonder what I did to it? ;)

Thanks H for your offer to get parts for me. Unfortunately this is a case where size matters. Standard in France is 16mm whereas in UK it is 15mm and they are not compatible. Will continue my search, they are out there somewhere.

Enjoy your days in Paris Al. Weather forecast not great at present, so it may well turn out fine and sunny.

BHD when you said you had been to see HP7 I thought that you had been to see the latest piece of technology from Hewlet Packard. I did wonder why you had been so excited by it. <laugh>

    Morning all <ok>

I join the emigration to France tonight via the hull- zeebrugge ferry.... just a little matter of a student graduation ceremony to sit through and then a mad dash to hull!

Best wishes to one and all... No doubt I will have a little football chat with Frenchie at some point :)

need to make sure not too much wine tasting takes place on those occasions!

    So COYH!!!

BTW we all enjoyed the last HP... saw on the Imax at bradford .. so was good fun...

    All the best :)

View attachment 5678 all - seems a bit 'empty' here with everyone apparently going to France

Just had a chuckle reading the report from last night's friendly between Cardiff & Celtic. It seems Celtic were trialling a goalkeeper but have had to give him another opportunity as he had nothing to do during the game <laugh>

Wonder how long MM will have?

    Yorkie, bring your wellies<laugh>

H, is your cousin the blonde or the brunette?

OFH, I know what you mean about the weather, terrible rain last night and a heavy shower earlier. Still not enough to stop me wandering round the local streets of the
15th, I just love people watching:)

Well next stop the Embassy to escort my dearly beloved to lunch, what to do till then, oh yes let's see if the cricket has started:)

Yes I just had a quick squiz at the Cardiff board as its a slow day!!

One thing of interest - the Scottish leagues kick off for real this Saturday - blimey its only July 23rd!!!! I mean I know their league is rubbish, but kicking off this early ...... So Celtic must have had a higher state of fitness than Cardiff. Also dont forget we playerd Ryman Prem Wealdstone on Tuesday night, so whilst we are quite satisfied with progress, we need to up the tempo as its

    4th level Wimbledon on Saturday,
    3rd level Brentford on Tuesday
and finishing with 3rd level Colchester - damn why do we have to go on holiday just as the season starts ........ oh yes them kids!!

So after a visit to the dentist I return to find we have no new football players but we do have the ability to post to two threads at the same time or at least create two doorways to the same thread.
