I don't know whether this is the work of yet more radical Islamics morons or some whacko right-wing French terrorist group. If the former, Europe, including the UK has a massive problem. If the latter, the French will deal with it internally.

They are cowardly ****s whoever is responsible. Thoughts with the victimsand their families. Shocking.

It's probably going to be linked to radical Islam in the coming hours. These sick ****s need to be wiped off the face of the earth. They aren't muslims and are using that religion to create mayhem.

My twelve year old is booked up for a school trip to Normandy and Disneyland Paris next year. I'm cancelling it on Monday. We were at Disneyland Paris in August and there was nothing in the way of security (other than two sniffer dogs inside the parks and how could they stop Kalashnikovs?). Anyone who has been to Disneyland Paris will know that there is a long walk up to the entrance from the car parks which makes it a terrorist's paradise......they could cause mayhem. I was shocked that there were no armed police in this area given that Disneyland Paris must be one of the major targets for attack.

I love visiting France mate (as do all my family) but I don't fancy the months ahead thinking 'what if something happens?' when we can go elsewhere. I was thinking of spending my next birthday there as well but sod that. Security in France will have to be beefed up hugely before we go back.

It's a horrible dilemma. My head says that cancelling trips to France and changing how we live our own lives means that the bastards win. However my heart tells me that is great in practice but I wouldn't want it to be my kids making the principled stand against them and taking the risks.

In reality we have no idea where and when attacks will happen. We could avoid all of the hotspots and find ourselves caught up in this **** next time we take a trip on the metro. In some ways they have already won cos we have had to lose some of our own freedom to guard against them. But what else can you do?

Your kids get to go to Paris?
You can tell I went to a rough school when the furthest excursion we went on was to the local knitting and crafts museum... Still, no terrorism has occurred there, maybe Isis like a good quilt.

Pulled into a motorway service station a couple of years ago just north of Lyon. There was a bloke dressed up as Charlie Chaplin. One of the creepiest things I 've seen. He'd scare the **** out of any terrorist.
