Can't foresee or imagine any re- runs being shown of his TV series Till Death Us Do Part - seem to remember one episode titled Paki Paddy

Wonder what he would have made of the BBC supposed comedy Citizen Khan? Mmmmmm, Pakistan and India, two racist countries steeped in the caste system and full of injustice.
Still, funny at times he was, it still had an element of racism and that breeds ignorance. I am of the understanding though, that he was in real life a decent man and so R.I.P

In the same year, two of my favourite actors have died.
    Warren Mitchell and George Cole.
Alf and Arfur were simply two of the funniest characters on tv.
    Sadly missed, both of them.

I have the complete Minder set on DVDs as well as all the 'Til death do us part complete box set.
These were from the time when comedy on the tv was funny and not sanitised pc lefty crap.
Mind, you get the occasional good series like The Office, Extras and Alan Partridge.

I was once watching a live stage show with Warren Mitchell doing a stand up comedy routine. He was getting a lititle bit of grief from a coloured audience member and he said "If you don't be quiet I'll come down there and give you a white eye. " RIP Warren.

We certainly do. As late as the 1950's, my mother would pull me over to the other side of the pavement if a "Jew-boy" walked past. And she hated "blacks". That was Sunderland, England, within my own lifetime! Short memories, I think.

Warren Beattie told the truth about an England, not faded too long before. Sincerely, R.I.P.

Bloody hell, an old neighbour of mine had a jet black cat and every night she would shout it in. The old dear used to stand at her back door and shout, "Sammmmmboooooo" at the top of her voice!

There was also a comedy series called "Curry and Chips" set in a warehouse but the cleverest staff member was Spike Milligan who was the Indian sweeper upper.

Blazing Saddles was a classic of reversed racism, comedy kids would not understand nowadays.
