.......bet he scores. (EDIT - to back that up, just put 4 quid on him at 9/4 to score at anytime during the game)
As has been said, its probably his level. If you've backed him, it will happen. Can you do a sticky post with a daily update on the bets you're placing? Gives the rest of us a chance to shadow your bets!!!!
Remote - my betting is only for fun mate. Never was a gambling man, but now an again I backed a hunch with some decent money in the past. The last time was in Malky's first season with us and I learned my lesson. I used to have an account with Bill Hill and put two pre-season bets on us to go up - £300 at 16/1 as Champions and another £300 at 5/1 by any route. After a good start to the season when we were top 6 for most of it and thought I was in for some dosh. Then we fell away and got knocked out in the playoffs. The biggest gripe I had was that I didn't repeat the same bet the following season - and look what happened! Now I use B365 for the streamed live foreign games and it's the odd fiver or tenner now and again for fun.
perhaps you only post when you win. we don't get to hear about those that bomb. that's it, as a tipster you've now lost me sparkey. Responsible betting Sparkey, that's what I like to see. TBH, can't remember the last time I placed a bet. Haven't even done the lottery for years. Actually, had a day at Haydock for our wedding anniversary a couple years ago. Had a fiver on each of the first 6 races on the card. Didn't bet on the last 2 because we left early as it was bloody freezing. Not sure whose bright idea it was to get married in March!!!!
It's an old adage but very true remote - only bet with what you can afford to lose. A young brother of a guy I used to employ had it bad. He got his paypacket from a local furniture manufacturer where he worked (in the days when you used to get actual cash in a packet!) on a Friday and it was usually all gone before Sunday. These were pre-internet days and we tried to help him but it was no good - it was like a drug and his fix was anything from horses to fruit machines to............... Lost track of him when the employee left, but that was a real bad case and a salutary lesson to anyone who finds themselves getting sucked down that very dangerous funnel to nowhere.
I've always stood by that Sparkey, even when investing (buying shares is just a gamble really). Everyone spends money on their hobby and for some a trip to the bookies is their hobby. I've no issue with that. Unfortunately, like drinking, it sometimes goes way beyond that and it is addictive (my best man died through alcohol related illness when in his 30s). I worked on building sites in college holidays and got paid in cash. Folded over brown envelope with a corner missing to allow you to count the notes A clear window so you could count the coins. Stapled through with your receipt so you could check you'd been paid the right amount. You could only query your payment if the staple was still in place. Got paid lunchtime on a Friday and some guys (with families) were straight in the pub. I enjoy a few beers and have had a flutter in the past. Fortunately its never got out of hand. What do they say, 'there but for the grace of god go I' !!!!! Anyway, back to the reason for your flutter, I can see him scoring a few for Wigan.
I saw bits of it, but gave up after I saw Revell run around aimlessly and then fell over................
