French Intel is to blame as well I'd say, they're not anywhere near enough as proactive as they need to be. Hollande has said they need to start doing border checks again... Again? Even presidents of countries are jumping to conclusions that it's a 'foreigner' we all suspect that of course but I thought there was a protocol to follow. Shows how bad the situation has got. Merkel take note, this could be happening on your land very soon.
Why are they so ****ing touchy about their faith? There was that carry on in Denmark a few years ago because some cartoonist took the piss out of Mohammed. Then the Charlie Hebdo shootings. They demand respect yet give not one jot back. Expecting the world to bow to their demands. Hypocrites too, make homosexuality illegal yet **** little boys all the time. Any faith that worships a ****phile can't be good imo. It's a doctrine that's stuck in the middle ages. Pull out of the middle east & let them slaughter each other.
I believe thats part of the problem. Should we have left Hussein and Gaddaafi in charge. At least the c*nts were killing each other in their own lands.
you need a lunatic to keep the rest of the lunatics in check. history has shown this time and time again.
Don't want the thread going off point but whilst religion is at the core of the problem this has nothing to do with religious beliefs. Religion is the excuse being used by a few megalomaniacs manipulating a growing underclass of society who have nothing and have little hope of having anything. Ignorance and no hope are the key factors here. We, as Society, who have something have to change things so that all people can hope to achieve a better life and live a better life and to educate everyone and for hope and education not just to be for the privileged (relatively speaking) few. Sorry, but will now get off my political soap box.
The actions being carried out by ISIS are driven by their interpretations of texts that are written in the Quran. I do not doubt that the vast majority of Muslim's do not act on these texts and are peace loving, but the fact is that these texts are written down in black and white.
A decent dignified living and education, for all is the only answer, violence is a reaction of the deluded and desparate, it should not be ours.
just reading on the news that they'll be British casualties from this atrocity -it's just a matter time before similar events happen here in the UK RIP to all the innocent victims
Indeed, nor do the Taliban. They do however, strongly support honor killings of their own daughters, stonings, genital mutilation of little girls. Aye, all very civilized islam.
As I put on another thread, look to the Saudis, they have been exporting this extreme form of Islam for years. It's about time they were brought to book....oh we can't, they have oil! http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/saudi/analyses/wahhabism.html
I've just done a 4,000 mile trip around Italy, France, Austria, Germany & Belgium. This was in an old & battered RHD Transit van with French plates ......... I was never stopped at any border and asked to open the van. I had all my paperwork ready, on the seat, because I just expected to be pulled. It's amazing, on my passport photo I even look like a terrorist ffs.
Maybe the French will now wake up and see th Agreed. The only time you will get checked is by the UK Border Agency when you come back into England via Calais. The French have never asked us for passports in fifteen visits and nor have the Spanish either. Makes you wonder why the UK Border Agency are so interested in recording our movements? Maybe they think we are all tobacco smugglers
Whether its people, organisations or countries I always think that the ones who know that they can back up their words with action usually don't feel the need for the words in the first place. If I ever got into an argument with a group of people it wouldn't be the one mouthing off about being able to crush me I'd worry about, it would be his mate quietly sipping on a pint watching what was going on. If we want to act as the world's bouncers then we need to act like good bouncers. I always think the best ones are the ones who quietly and coldly remove the trouble makers with the least fuss. The ones who act aggressively and loudly often spark a reaction that might not have happened (not that I know the first thing about being a bouncer). I honestly don't know the answers to stopping this **** from happening, but I suspect that the ****ers on the front line blowing themselves up and getting themselves shot are pawns used by a relatively small group of sick and evil bastards. That's not me defending the ones who do it - they still make a choice and deserve everything they get - but I think the answer lies in cutting off the head and removing the ones who do the manipulating in the first place. It would also help if we gave them as little propaganda to fuel their recruitment as possible.
My daughter is off to France next year with school. I'm cancelling it on Monday (that is, if the school already hasn't). Just not worth the extra risk.
