But on a more general point this is spot on. In order to subjugate any race, the first thing is to dehumanise them. We did that with Russians in the cold war; with the Irish. And ofcourse the Russains and fanatics in the middle-east do that with their populations and followers against us. We call them fanatics and ignorant but cant see those faults in us. Exactly...no ideology, religion..cause that takes life is anything but a power grab..we belong to one...our problem (as a state) is we do the same as evetbody else but pretend its for freedom or democracy etc..
Ive said it before and i'll say again...the only reason i don't like "liberals" is they usually spout the wrongs of the country they live in while enjoying (usually in the west) the comfort of the thing they criticise.
Everything we own...including this nice media we're spouting ****e on came about through stealing resources, murdering people...etc..we didnt pull the trigger but we sit comfortably in the spoils.
What separates some of us is we dont pretend we live in a bubble and somehow were exempt from the blood on our hands...those that do are either hypocrites or should head off to the countries they cry about.
From Greece to Rome to UK to US to USSR/Russia we have all played the game and enjoyed the spoils

Not really, you only take that position if you feel you need to live in a country that needs to clamber continually for all that power. There are plenty of successful nations who dont need to rinse others (openly or discretely) in order to be prosperous. We're aggressive when we dont need to be.
My argument is we cause more trouble (for ourselves and others) when we dont need to. Plenty of other successful, developed nations manage it. I dont consider myself to be liberal at all. But I've every right to want my country to stay the fck out of other countries and prosper as countless others manage to. If blitzing whole countries and regions is solely for the purpose of political and economic gain, then I want no part of it. It's the slippery slope to facism imo.
