    Shame he's moving to United with all those promising young players that will never get a chance now.

    Boro might pay you £5 mill for martial though so not all lost.

    But this is no surprise. Mourinho publicly said he was closing the Chelsea academy and youth team more than a year ago <confused>

    Chelsea's academy players are actually very good, too.
    They've spent a lot of money and done a lot of work on it, but they get quite a bit back from selling people on.
    It'll be interesting to see if there's more of a focus on bringing youngsters through, if Mourinho moves on.
    I suspect that they'll continue to use Vitesse as their main testing ground, though. Only five players there this year...
