I'm a West lad originally. Well My family are scattered round West, Cockfield, Evenwood and Barney, I moved to Darlo very young so tend to follow them closer than West and Bishop. But yeah, loads of history between those two little clubs.

    Land of the Thou. <laugh>

I was both born and bred in Bishop Auckland. I don't know if you still have any links there and have heard about the 11 arches project, but it sounds like really, genuinely promising and exciting prospect for the area.

My granda lived in Toronto. Vivid memories of that bridge. My sister got married in the the Dominican Republic but had a wedding do at the rugby club when she got back. I've still got a Brother in West, Two sisters, an aunty and an uncle in Cockfield and a brother in Evenwood(My Nephew plays for Evenwood town). Not herd of the project like. What's that about?

My auntie used to live in Toronto and I'd cycle over to hers once a week or so in the holidays when I was about 11 or 12. I wasn't allowed on the viaduct so had to pedal up that mother- fcker of a hill just after you pass the rugby club entrance <laugh> I invariably got off a walked haha.

Bloke named Jonathan Ruffer, philanthropist with around 400million to his name, has for some reason taken an active interest in the area, He's pumping literally tens of millions into Auckland castle and various areas of the town centre, improving it, building a massive viewing tower etc. They're setting up a show which is going to be on a similar scale to the Puy De Fou in France. I think it's kicking off as early as next summer. A lot of the groundwork already been done. It's early days but could make the area a massive tourist attraction which would just be mental. In fact, the castle have now got an artistic partnership with the Puy Du Fou.

I'd rather my TV license fee didn't go into Phil Mitchell's pocket but that's life, lots of people like Eastenders.

They need to do away with the TV license, it's an absolute joke of an organisation anyway. I'd love to see the BBC shut down.

Bunch of Terrorist and ***** sympathisers.

Salford are none league but have a buzz around them. It's supply and demand and makes perfect sense.

They have a buzz about them because that is what the media have constructed. Personally I would much rather see other none league sides given the same publicity which would also create a buzz.

It's funny, because last season Bradford beat Chelsea and they 'earned' their TV game, yet they never got it and the 'poor little club' people were up in arms that the Villa vs WBA game was being shown instead.

Salford have just done a similar scale giant killing and are rewarded with another tie on the tv and the 'poor little club' people are saying they don't deserve another tie and wealth should be distributed.

So tell me, how do you EARN the ****ing TV game?

I think after Chelsea they earned their tv game......against us.......which they won! Unless my memory fails me. Still get your point though, after they beat us they were dropped. This info is off the top of my head so correct me if I'm wrong.

Buzz about any product is a result of construction in the media. It's nothing new that supply creates the demand. Completely normal.

If the other clubs want more attention they need to do something that merits more attention.

It wasn't televised though was it? Bradford beat Chelsea then never got the TV game.

Salford beat their 'giant' then they got the TV game and people are still crying 'unfair'.

Might have been on one of the channels. Not sure. I can just remember there being uproar over it after they beat us. Again, it might be my memory being completely wrong mind.

Some products aren't salable, yet people think the media should act like a charity when it comes to sports for some reason.

FFS give a small club a fishing rod.
