I do understand the risks in repeatedly heading a ball and think young children should be protected. You'd think they'd ban gun ownership for idiots first though.
I work in highways and a few years ago, when I worked in London, my company was the UK sellers for a Norwegian distance measuring device which the Norwegians translated as the C-prick. Once we finished giggling we had to explain why that name wasn't a good idea...
https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/very-specific-no-15-earth-112325085.html Article talking about Michu and his fall from grace...mainly due to injury. A couple of years ago was scoring freely for Swansea and got called up by Spain, now training with an amateur side. How quickly life can change for a player...let's hope for better for Jay.
Surely someone will take a gamble on Michu. I don't know what happened or if he did anything really bad, however here is a player with bags of talent who actually proved himself for a season in the Premier League. Anyone any idea what happened? (Apart from injury)
One candidate to miss out in the Fifa presidential elections is Musa Bility. The president of the Liberian Football Association has been ruled out after failing integrity checks. And there's me thinking this should have jumped him to the head of the queue!
I think Swansea changed their style and he didn't fit in after he came back from injury. Then again, injuries can be returned from but the rhythm and confidence can be shot. Also when Bony came along there seemed to be no more room for him. Rumour has it that Allardyce is looking at a maybe with him in mind. Danny Graham is another. Worked well at Swansea then suddenly nothing. Now plays for Sunderland U21s.

I don't know if this is the case now, but when Newport IOW had a run in the cup, we were televised several times because the BBC were following the winners of each round till the end. If this is what they are doing, they will follow the winners of the Salford game (whether Salford or not).
Was that the year of the Enfield game live on Sky? I joined a season or two after. They should have had the TV cameras for when we played Aldershot at St Georges Park in the FA Cup and they brought about 2000 fans with them. Mental. Wouldn't want to follow up on a rebound and tap in a goal from about 3 yards out, as your momentum takes you running towards the Aldershot fans and give it the large..... # ****myself
I happened to flick over to Final Score on Saturday just as Mark Clemmit was giving his round up of the non-league teams in the Cup. His explanation of why Eastleigh are called the Spitfires was that "Spitfires used to land around there during the war." Great research, Clem .
That one didn't get past me when the BBC announced who'd they be televising again. They need to watch out, because people will be calling favouritism, if they are not careful. It's all well and good they televise Salford City on the odd occasion, but twice in two opportunities.? I understand it supposedly makes for great TV, but isn't the Beeb's grand idea to focus on the small teams.? Salford City don't need the exposure compared to a raft of other teams in non-league.
I remember going to the Enfield game when I was a young lad, don't remember much about it though. Did it go to E.T? Also went to see Newport playing Aylesbury in the FA cup too and remember the duck celebration. Think Newport lost both games. What year was the Aldershot game? Doesn't ring any bells, that one. Just found this brings back memories Didn't see the duck celebration though must have been another game? Brenda Rogers playrd for Newport in that game, haha didn't know that till now.
I reffed an evening game at Newport (logistical nightmare), during a quiet minute one of the supporters asked me if I was Saints or Pompey. Errrrrrrrr. I guessed Saints and hoped to not get filled in. They thought I was great after that.
