Was the question asked why Fraeye wasn't retained after he "masterminded" our escape? Also, what involvement he had in our scouting?
That deserves a flag. Brentford station opening day of the season last August, there was about 6 geezers hanging on her every word, salivating and all sorts. I wonder what they think about squirrel face now. I would not touch her with yours amigo.
The lies and bullshit are now to be expected....what concerned me most about her comments was the sheer lack of ambition. She could not have been clearer....although the Premier League would be nice and all that, Douche's No.1 ambition is for Charlton to be self sustaining. The ambition is...to break even. This lofty goal will be achieved in two ways - selling players. Again, she was categoric. The second takes a bit more believing.....Target 20,000. On the same day when figures showed our home gates to be their lowest for 18 seasons, Meire seriously plans to fund our losses by attracting the masses back with a fans sofa, cheerleaders, and a Pie Cam. You would be embarrassed if an 8 year old kid came to you with this sort of stuff.
Meire should have been pulled apart within the first ten mins, when she claimed RD had spent "9 million " on players. The bit that was strangely missing, of course, was how much he has recouped in sales and departures. Yann, Poyet, Hamer, Dervite, Wiggins, Stephens, Morrison, Gomez That's the spine of a decent Championship team - and they have all departed during RDs tenure.
He who pays the piper calls the tune, and Roland pays her wages, so that's where her loyalty lies. Her brief is to defend the indefensible. It's like Lord of the Rings "I am the mouth of Sauron" The only hope is to somehow extract Charlton from Roland's network, and you can bet your life that he won't want to sell at a loss. I respect anyone who can grit their teeth and watch the whole meeting, I gave up after the Presentation, which was excruciating. It's the half-truths that really grate, you can understand why Roland wanted a lawyer to do his bidding. Is there any point in having dialogue with someone who thinks the managerial appointments have all been successful? No way, Pedro, but CASTrust still want more dialogue, which is more of a monologue in reality, which can be summed up with the most honest statement our CEO has made: "Roland will do things his way and the fans have to understand that"
I wonder what plan B is when we get relegated, if not this season by some miracle, then the next. Although if we are very lucky she'll get the elbow.
The Douche is older than he looks so our only real hope is that he turns up his toes! .... but him and people like Bladder tend to go on for a very long time
It's the poverty of their ambition for Charlton that will be their ultimate downfall. Finish 21st in the Championship each season and cover running costs by selling Academy players - that's it
..............For a fraction of their real value at that. Our CEO is so disingenuous in her statements that I think I would have walked out of the meeting. There has been some criticism of those present for not pressing her a bit more on various half-truths, but when someone is being dishonest to your face, and you both know it, it's quite hard. Being a lawyer, she manages to avoid telling outright lies (almost always) but her presentation just seemed a bit surreal to me.
that josh harris has just agreed to put money into palace. why we didnt bite his hand off i'll never know.
If you were a rich (insert word here) and you witnessed the way Charlton fans have hounded out owner after owner, would you want to put your money in?
how much notice do you think roland took of the lot that protested on saturday? plus, any other owner would want to progress the club by spending a bit and moving up the league - something which we would not have problems with
