Know nothing about him, bar that link you posted, but at least we are looking at defence, so it's a positive.

Could be a good foil for Mbemba but we would lack PL experience across the back 4 with Janmaat being the most experienced after a season and a half!

Would take him though as a replacement for Willo all day long!

We've been linked with this guy for some time. I've given up because we have been linked with strengthening the defence for the last 5 years. We have managed Mbemba (which is a cracking start). I'm now a "believe it when I see it" type of supporter. We need a centre half and left back. We also need a ball player and a striker. I'm not sure how I'd prioritise. Perhaps left back and ball player first. Ideally we get all 4 in the next window but its a big ask.

I think we will sign a cb but I'm convinced that the club think left back is ok having haidara and dummet

The reason I think this is the fact they rated both ahead of santon ( full Italian international with champions league experience and under 25)

I don't understand that at all personally but the evidence is there.

Well they want shot with **** because neither of those will ever be good enough at left back. Santon was three times the player and he wasn't even really a left back (though he preferred it). Starring at right back for Inter this season up until recently when he got dropped. Santon for me was frustrating at times and had a spell where I hammered him because he was all over the shop. However he was far better than these two.

Ideally we get better than all three.

You can understand the warning signs are they think Haidara and dummet are enough.

God we need a top left back but honestly cm we are way below premiership standard and being boastful I highlighted that preseason and got laughed at on here.

As I say cb/lb/cm/st. I'd prioritise CM and LB

Santon was a class above either of those two. It was one of the strangest moves the club made and there must have been something else behind it. This happened on Pardew's watch - I blame him.

Before Mitro starts slating me I take that back. Santon left just after Pardew left. Maybe knowing this was going to happen was one of the things that persuaded him to go.

He didn't even want to go but carver told him dummet and haidara were both ahead of him and it would probably be a good move for him.

In otherwords carver advised him he was **** and told him to **** off while he had the opportunity.

I meant Pardew not Santon - Pardew left complaining about lack of finances. Only reason to let Santon go then was to get his wages off books. Santon might have been able to fit in as just that midfielder with defensive nous but decent passing ability that we are missing at the moment

What about that young kid at LB who played against Chelsea with the funky hair?

You have to give youth a fair crack of the whip, I'd sooner have any academy product in my team than a big money signing. It feels so much better when that happens.

Memphis brought in because Januzaj wasn't reliable in the LW position, then Memphis was dropped for Lingaard... incredible, half of us had written off Lingaard already, now we're all behind him.

The young lad on loan at Coventry as well, I've read things about bringing him back and wondering if it's better to loan him to a better club, see how he does in the C'ship for the second half of the season, he could be better than any striker you could bring in for £15-20m eventually.

I think Valdes will/can sort out your defense, on his own, a proper commanding goalkeeper with experience... Krul's not that guy, he's a high-fiving introvert.

Right back/Centre Back. Good back up to Janmaat but he has been injured. Mbabu> To be honest I'm just keen to see Mbabu and Mbemba centre half, just to see what combos the commentators come up with.

Talk of Wolves taking Armstrong in 2nd half of the season to see how he does in Championship so the club is thinking along the same lines.
