I have been there a couple of times for work - definitely intend to go back as it is a fascinating place and the locals were great.

I've been a few times and it's acountry with great variety - old cities like Fez, wonderful scenery especially in the High Atlas, and some great fish markets in coastal towns like Essouira, and remote places on the edge of the Sahara. I must persuade Mrs H we should go again!

I have to agree w3ith him on the gelato front. We have a gelato salon here in Weston-super-Mare and I have rapidly become addicted to the "bubble gum" flavour, it's truly scrumptious as someone once said!

Morning all from a wet Jersey. I went bowling on a work social event last night and have woken up this morning with a sore thumb - my guess is that I've strained it.

It was when I got home last night I was told by my son about what had happened in Paris.

Morning all, the sun is just rising from behind the barn across the lane and is expected to be with us all day. It is that day in the month when I meet up with some English friends for a meal. One never quite knows what will be on offer at a restaurant, but it is rare to be disappointed. If the forecast is correct we could still be eating outside. Not bad for the middle of November. :emoticon-0100-smile

A splendid dinner in a very noisy French restaurant where there were some very large families celebrating birthdays. One of our number had been talking to her 18 year old granddaughter who lives in Paris. She had been caught up in the events of Friday night when she was in a bar between two of the cafes attacked. The owner of the bar led her and her friends down through the basement and out of a back door. When they emerged into the back street the noise of the attacks was still underway, and they really had little idea which would be the safest route. Thankfully they did make their escape, but have been extremely upset by the whole experience.
