One thing I am certain of is that the sheriff needs to use his last night as sheriff productively. After tonight, we'll only have the vigilante left that has the ability to kill and that is only 70% accurate.

This is the built in rule for town visitors before the game started. Anybody at a location will help defend that location so it wouldn't have been fair to have only one location benefit from this.

Just caught up on everything, had a busy day today so haven't contributed loads.

So is nobody willingly visiting the priest tonight? It's the only way to 100% rule people as town/bandit. Just requires trust in me, Gerrez and the priest.

 

And if they go somewhere where there is a gunfight they get automatically drawn in?
Or if they end up somewhere where people have guns, do they get accepted in, or shot at?

So they roam, but defend each venue at random? So they are still non aligned?

I wrote a lot of rules what seems like a lifetime ago.

It is possible the bit you are missing is in their role description they received.

It is not intended as a hidden part of the game though.

 

This coild make it dangerous to attempt to shoot them. We don't know how skilled they are, or who they will be with. We could lose lose the sheriff and/or Vigilante in a gunfight, especially if outnumbered.

NEV: what would happen if, for example, theh are 'defending' a Town building, but other Town are sent ro kill them? What woul the town residents do? Have you thought this through? Do you want to reconsider? Is your head hurting as much as mine?

If anybody in a location is attacked - even by their own team - then everybody in that location will attack back, no matter what alignments people have. The attack will be seen as an attack on the location.

 

You forgot Nolberto, who imo, is innocent

 

The Vigilante

The vigilante is convinced that he knows who the bad guys are and doesn't mind breaking a few rules to bring them to justice.

He starts the game with 5 bullets and has a shooting accuracy of 70%.

The Vigilante has three actions to use during this game. Other than that his only contribution will be voting and taking part in the game thread. He can choose what nights to use his actions (one per night) and can choose to do nothing each night if he wants to save them for later in the game.

The vigilante has a choice of three actions each night:

1. He can chose to shoot at a player he suspects of being a bandit (can use this action twice)
2. He can have his vote worth triple (can only use once during game)
3. He can choose to do nothing
When using his triple vote, he needs to let me know the nightfall BEFORE that he intends to use it the following day (This means he cannot use it on day one). Once he decides to use it he cannot change his mind. On the day that his vote is worth triple, nobody else will know until nightfall (and even then, only if it changes the public vote). Using his triple vote will count as the night action on the night that he tells me - not the night that his vote is worth triple.

He is allowed two attempts to kill players in the game (with a 70% chance of killing them). Even if a kill is unsuccessful that still uses up one of his attempts. Because he works from the shadows they will not fire back at him if he misses (or if they have company).

He starts the game with 5 bullets and cannot buy more. This means that if he is attacked, and uses bullets firing back, then he may run out of bullets before using up his kill attempts. However, as he does not have the option of defending premises, the chances of him being attacked is lower.
