I actually laughed @ Wolves when he dropped the ball. Having watched many a GK make howlers over the years it happens. Thankfully McG. has used that to improve beyond doubt that he is a top GK.

I even saw the great Gordon Banks make an error NOT forgetting Waggy doing him twice in that FAC cup match back in 1971.

As for Humble Pie ? they were a great band. <laugh>

Peter Shiltons one and only sending off was versus us in the 90's too, (was there at Boothferry) even the best keepers aren't perfect as you say!

I suspect that the midfield are picking themselves now, Livermore and Meyler are certainly as important to our team as Clucas, with Elmo not far behind, wonder who goes down on the sheet first now

Snodgrass has hardly played on the left throughout his career - he said in that u21 game he found it odd being on the left. He's always on the right or down the middle - so would expect elmo or one of the forwards to be dropped if anyone.

Snodgrass always scared the hell out of me with those deadly left foot crosses and FKs from the right wing when he was fit and at Norwich. But I can't see him displacing Elmo as a starter unless the latter moves on in the January window (which I doubt) or is injured. But a fully fit Snodgrass would be a frightening proposition for Championship squads and its great to have him back as an option from the bench.

As for Clucas...what a great story and a truly impressive young player who's improving every game. A brilliant acquisition by Bruce, as is Odubajo. I had misgivings about letting Quinnie and Rosie go...but not any more. The energy level of the team has gone up enormously and Sam could well be a target for Prem teams in the window. Cairney...come on...no comparison. Clucas brings far more to the team!!

Was that a Plymouth game? We won 3-0? Or am I thinking a different one?

which has also coincided with having Thudd on the bench and willing runners working the midfield areas.

It was indeed the Plymouth match Bruce! I have trouble with remembering scorelines these days, I'm not sure if this game is one where Leigh Palin scored late on or Jenkinson featured very heavily, it could be both or neither if that helps!!

Actually I just remembered that there was another game where we beat Plymouth at Boothferry 3-0, Jobbo scored a pearler. It wasn't that game so I'm fairly sure the end result was either 1 or 2 nil, also I think Shilts brought down Jenks to get sent off. Had to think hard about this seems like a long time ago now!

It would have been in the 90's! I recall a Friday night game that we won 1-0 & were down to 9 men! It put us top of what is now L1 but probably Div 3 or Div 2, depending on whether the PL was in place! I recall a 3-0 win, but can't remember if I was there or not!
    Ok it was 2-0! http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football-shilton-sent-off-at-hull-1543268.html
I just checked soccer base & there is no 1-0 in the 90's, but I definitely remember it & we were definitely down to 9 men!
