From their signings, we would never spend that amount on multiple players, so I assumed they had backing to really go for it. So this news worry's me. Even if the Americans don't put into the Transfer kitty (unlikely) they money they put into the club and infrastructure, means the chairman can relocate funds to the kitty.
Mind you, they saved us from Tony Fernandes who took over QPR instead. Just seen this - http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/11/0...on-twitter-to-suggestions-tony-fernandes-cou/ You couldn't make this up - It's all been about handing power to relatively big names in local football - Harry Redknapp being the biggest example. Now, the man QPR sacked when they were struggling in the Premier League, Neil Warnock, is back at the helm. Les Ferdinand has also been entrusted with a huge amount of power and, so far, he hasn't proved a Messiah, just an ex-footballer trying to do the job of a director and not necessarily getting that far.
Oh really?! ...Bit strange. Have they still got that guy in charge that owned Pompey in the glory days?
I'm starting to smile when I see a notification that you have commented on something I've said, coz I know what's coming
I like it! I wanna see QPR fall. Competing with us a lot resonantly, so always wanting them to lose in the championship title race, and scrap against relegation from the Prem. I'm use to wanting them to lose. But also the fact they bought the Championship, Bought survival time for a bit, cheated in transfers and never got punished. They have become one of the clubs I really don't like, the last 5-6 seasons. Only positive is Eddy from "Bottom" supported them. When "Dick Head" scored an own goal! Use to like them then!
My mother-in-law is originally from London and is a Koo-Pee-Aah fan .....ergo I f*cking hate them too
in the last 3 months. Chelsea and Jose, have amassed £205,000 in fines. Mostly for not controlling players, and Jose's comments about refs. That's an embarrassing disgrace. 5 incidents of fines in under 3 months. Just for being Whiney b**ches because they don't get their own way.
Total and utter disgrace, just think how desperate some of the league one and two clubs would be get their hands on that sort of money, and Chelsea can just throw it away like loose change. Points deductions, now there may be an actual incentive to clean up your behaviour.
I see Chelsea and Wet Sham have both been fined again for 'failing to control their players', which is presumably what triggered the outburst from FML? As Munky man says, what sort of 'punishment' is that, exactly (£40k and £50k respectively) when they can both afford to pay their star men four (4) times that amount every single week?? A suspended points deduction ought to work, so Mourinho and/or his payers know that if they step out of line again a deduction will happen automatically for what they've already done - plus further, tougher sanctions for any future misdemeanours
Sadly, if they did try that, the big clubs would hire some fancy lawyer accusing them of something or other, and they would back down, just to keep the big boys happy.
Great piece from the Daily Mash on Moyes http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport...moyes-to-understand-hes-sacked-20151111103768
Haha! Outburst!? I just found it unbelievable and funny they never learn, and never get proper punishment. I knew they had had a few fines, but didn't realise quiet how many in the last 3 months. So I put it in this thread coz it was interesting and General football related.
Paul Lambert favourite for the Blackburn job apparently. They might get out of the Championship finally if they appoint him.
Nice little drop for him to a struggling Championship side that's has been run into the ground. While we enjoy the sun in the Premiership. Grass isn't always greener Paul!
He took over a struggling Norwich side, so I'm sure he can do it again. The Villa job was just the wrong decision, that job seem like a poison chalice.
