I don't know whether this was a permanent for his collection or a rental (wasn't exactly a track day car).
That sort of position is what causes a fair amount of the dispute, as not all agree, and no matter the why's and wherefore's, the chanting was certainly a minority. As mentioned on other threads, a line needs to be drawn and we need to move forward. The success on the pitch should help with that, and some recognition to the board's part in that acknowledged. Opportunities were missed before, but there's still a chance to get something of an atmosphere into the KC.
Whilst the Allams not attending has helped the atmosphere at the KC, all they have to do is drop the proposed name change and they would be welcomed back by all I would suggest. The fact they haven't done that gives a clear insight that should we return to the PL then expect the whole scenario to raise its head again and we'll be back to square one with the name change back on the agenda big time!
There's more than one issue there. Until the club stop referring to us as Hull Tigers/Hull City Tigers there are a great many people who are simply not going to move on, the sooner that's addressed the better (not least because, even forgetting how much it irritates our fans, it's ludicrous marketing). The atmosphere at the KC on Saturday was the best it's been for a long time, the problem is obviously maintaining it, we're not going to have a full away end and a performance like that every week, but it's a good start. I'm sure there's more that can be done and hopefully it will be and I've no problem with acknowledging what the Allams have done this season, my issue with them has always been with regard to the name change.
I'm not sure about that, but some will not move on, granted, but perhaps there are better ways of approaching it that will be less divisive. There most certainly are many issues, some are eventually being recognised, hopefully a longer term view will be taken this time. A good performance and outcome, combined with decent numbers travelling (best not mention the ASI) have clouded the issue in the past. We're in a great position to build unity amongst the fans and with the team and club, which is after all the common ground.
