Wait?! Are you claiming the media would defend Liverpool fans if it were anyone but Klopp? No really... Wait... You're serious?
And hasn't there been plenty on here who actually go to the ground who have already stated its not the same and hasn't been for some time..I'm confused as to what point you are trying to make. Surely not about branding and PR?....not from one who's club invented "the theatre of dreams" lol
No I don't but radio show read parts of it on drive home. Says it's been like that for years. I think the fan in him tried to temper the headline but the article was far more damning.
Don't shoot the messenger lads If it hadnt been Klopp but someone outside the club saying this you'd all be up in arms about it. Truth is your ground and you the fans are no better than anyone else. Everyone outside the red half of liverpool have known this for years. Now it's been verified by many of your own
I left my armchair when my stream stuttered to go for a piss....does this count? That stream stuttered too...
I went to the Southampton game with my brother at the start of last season. They started playing YNWA over pa and had a guy over PA leading the singing. First time that has ever happened according to our kid.
5 years+ ago I would have disagreed. Now I find it hard to. Anfield atmosphere is rank nowadays partly due to piss poor form and possibly a decrease in attendance by locals mainly due to price hikes
I find most of the top clubs I've been to (including OT) the atmosphere is great at the start of the game and then things tend to settle down. I'm not talking about some big clash where the crowd are up for it, but your bread n butter regular run of the mill games. I also find the away support (particularly with our support) is much more passionate. I appreciate winning plays its part but compare it to this in German Division 3...
The 'guy' is Gerry - YNWA is always started with the record which gets turned down as the crowd takes over.
I've got a youtube and it sounds like Gerry to me although I wasn't there. I have heard people comment on it before saying they prefer the acapella version to the record but it's always the record as far as I know, just depends how loud the crowd is as to whether you hear it.
That game it was the usual record being played and then its faded out in my past experience. But this time it was the record and a guy singing along on the PA to get it going in the crowd. I have never heard that before in all my visits.
You were there, I wasn't but it sounds the same to me in the video. Probably George having a singalong in the pa box after renewing his contract
