"I want #CAFC fans to stand up against the negative people and don't give them a platform. It was unacceptable" is she off her rocker? over 1500 people turned up to the protest, you cant just sidestep that. that many people statistically cannot be all wrong. she's incompetent and absolutely blind to her own failings. that's the problem with young people sometimes (i'm 35), it's all ego and about them, no being able to look at a situation in third person or being able to accept anothers view point she cant afford to ignore 1500 fans... ludicrous. that's a lot of money to turn away.
Also as on my earlier post 1,500 would represent over 10% of our attendance population, which is more significant than the 20 at this fan forum. Let the masses talk!
We need to protest again, and this time get more people... And start an hour before the match this time round. 11am, West Stand Car Park!
I can't believe what I'm reading from KM. I knew it would be bad, but not that bad. The next protest will dwarf the last one, and this time I won't be watching the game afterwards.
I wonder if we can persude local pubs to Sky+ the match, then screen it at 3pm for everyone. That way we can boycott and then watch the match afterwards
What a load of ****. I think we should step up our protests. That bitch Meire is taking us for fools. I shall be there to protest against the Belgians at the Ipswich game.
I still think its vital that protests don't get hung up on Meire being a woman and Roland being a Belgian if it's to maintain credibility; especially whilst the media are yet to fully pick up on it.
That is a valid point. We need some form of leadership though if we are to succeed? Judging by Twitter comments the CAST are still not going to support protests. And proved their ineptitude to grasp the situation once again.
She played the female card last night. It were as if she was saying it was an all male protest? I'm not overly surprised by what was said. Pretty much confirmed Fryseye is full time too.
It sounds as though the meeting saw a predictable mixture of arrogant posturing (KM) and toe curling crawling (CAST and Seth Plum from CL). 3 things I take from the meeting - Last Saturdays protest rattled Meire. She is now trying to divide fans amongst themselves (never normally a problem at Charlton). She will have loved the apologies from the two grovelling arse lickers somehow present. The protests must be stepped up. Fraye has got the job and if we don't like it then tough sh1t. She thinks previous appointments have been 'successful'. In short, she is not listening nor interested in listening. There is a vast, vast gulf between the craven mentality exhibited by CAST and the vitriolic reaction of normal Charlton fans who posted in their hundreds on social media last night. Lord Haw Haw is alive and well in SE7.
Interesting to note that several trust members are blaming the way it was reported by the news shopper. The proof will be in the video. If Pemberton has gone on record saying "Surprised by the tweeted reports.Lost context I think. Nowhere near as bad as presented and fans' contributions understated", and he's downplayed severity of it, then there will be no coming back. He then won't be understanding the fans he wishes to represent.
Pemberton achieved hs objective last night. As quoted from another fan present, on CL "Rich took charge from the start and controlled the meeting" Followed by one from Pembers.. " I felt Katrien improved after a shaky start" It's all very cosy isn't it.
When you label a significant group of your own customer base as "negative" and urge other fans to turn on them, there really is no going back.
Well, I'm going to try to sit through the whole thing on you-tube some time today, but it confirms that we are only at the beginning of the campaign to persuade Roland to sell up. The protests will be stepped up, and hopefully there will be a boycott of club merchandise. Last saturday there was a girl walking up and down trying to sell Valley Reviews without success, so I wonder if fans are already voting with their feet in this respect. It beggars belief that our CEO can inform us without a hint of embarrassment that all the managerial appointments have been successful. She also said indirectly that the job is Fraeye's. Since he is only the interim manager I assume that the "successful" revolving-door policy will continue. She now wants to have dialogue with the fans, presumably because she feels that the CASTrust are easily controlled, and this will stop the protests.
The flaw in her theory being the chasm between the 5 attention seekers in CAST, and the remaining 10,000 fans. Wheeling Jacko out last night is about as cynical as it gets.
