When I moved in to my house, they had this little plastic slop bin for food, I'd never seen something so disgusting... it went straight into the brown bin for bottles and tins. Then a few weeks ago, I got a roll of little food bin liners through my door from the council and they were to be used in the little food bin, they're biodegradable so you can chuck them in your compost bin, apparently. I emptied my compost bin into my garden waste bin and got rid of the compost bin the day I moved in, there was no instructions!
Live on Tameside/Stockport border but under Tameside council. 3 bins black, green and blue. The council in their wisdom decided to swap the large black for household rubbish with the smaller green glass/can bins so now my household bin is full again 2 days after collection and the black one now goes weeks until its full. Collection every 2 weeks apart from the paper bin which is 3 although that one fills up easily as well. Bit of a joke really and I still reckon they ran over and disposed of my cats body 7 years ago.
Durham council charge £20 a year for the garden bin - mine needs emptying twice a year (when I chop the hedge out the back) - Only have decking and paving in the back and front so no grass cuttings - but £20 to empty a bin twice a year is ****ing stupid IMO! Considering the neighbour has his emptied over the spring and summer every two weeks and pays the same!!
We have a green bin for garden waste a grey bin for all the un recyclable **** 2 blue bins 1 for paper and cardboard 1 for tins and bottles and one of our own for plastic but not bags use them for the house bin anyway, I'm with Typical about bin men ( twats ) on holiday once and missed the bottle and tin collection so when they came again I put 3 wine bottles on the lid in a carrier bag when I came in from work they had emptied the box and put the 3 bottles back on top again I was going to photograph a £10 note and put it in their envelope at xmas but then I decided I didn't fancy cleaning my front garden every 2 weeks.
Hampshire county council. Blue bin for all recycle stuffs and green bin for general rubbish. Little blue box for glass etc. Our lass is keen gardener so any food waste except cooked stuff n meat goes into one of our compost bins in garden. Any garden waste again goes into compost bin then it's used for mulching the veg plot and her flower borders. Any clothing is giving to a cancer charity
Because it attracts rats mate. I got up for a 6-2 shift one morning & there was a big fat, grey rat sat on my compost bin. Of course by the time I got the air rifle loaded the twat had ****ed off. Sly, cunning bastards rats. Very ****ing clever though.
It's them black and white shirts they wear that pisses me off the most.. In York, we have a black bin for rubbish and 3 boxes for recycled, card, paper & plastic. I watched the bin men one day empty the 3 boxes into one truck so from that day on I just use all 3 boxes for the lot. Lazy bastards down here like, even the flies take the piss out of them.. MOT.. yeah, ok ya ****ing lazy yorkshire ****....oh and it's ****ing Ha'Waaaay the Laaaads, ya thick ****..
