I think it may well be the case of why take the chance? There are other options out there. The same could of been said when we signed Barton.
I meant the other way round, Mackay may regret his comments about race, sexuality etc, but I doubt they will be forgotten. It wasn't a moment of stupidity, it was embedded behaviour (probably his entire life before he got called out) showing a Neanderthal attitude. Even if he is fully repentant, has taken some kind of counselling, etc etc, it may be unfair but I can't see why need the spotlight of someone with that history at QPR, we have enough issues as it is.
Point taken, but I personally would not judge him having a Neanderthal attitude as I don't know the bloke, by the way you may well be correct. It could easily be a case of lads being lads and giving the biggun behind closed doors so to speak. I know that most blokes including myself have said things to other blokes that you don't really mean but find funny and devilish at the same time. Anyway I hope he is not a complete arse and gets a job worthy of his talents in the future.
At the moment Pearson is still the firm 6/5 favourite,Warnock 4/1,Sherwood and Hasslebaink 5/1.Interestingly,we have put Moyes up at 12/1,not a huge price at all.We did have 1 clown come in and put a tenner on Sven at 100/1,i had to walk away!
Do we really want Paul Lambert? He's ex Norwich ..................... 'rangercol' won't be impressed, nor should any of us.
I find myself siding with people who want Warnock to take the reigns at least until the end of the season. Having someone in place for next season, with proper time to evaluate the staff and an entire summer to get across his ideas is the smart way to do it. Warnock is more than capable of keeping us in the division, anything he does above that should be considered a bonus in my opinion. We've got good young players who are hungry in Smithies, Hall, Luongo and Gladwin and that's where we should focus our rebuild around. Like RoyalOak mentioned, intelligent use of the loan system then becomes paramount. We're a London club, it's an appealing short term move for several players looking to break in to Premiership teams with a point to prove (i.e Bamford last season for Middlesborough).
I don't think Neil Warnock wants it and they would have not flown out to Asia to decide on NW. I have this huge feeling it will be Moyes
I agree more and more with this stance. Could be just like last time, Warnock coming in and stabalising the team. Building a solid platform to go on and perform next season, fighting for promotion again. Only problem is, there are no old war horses to bring in like last time, Hill, Derry and Kenny. He would have to create new leaders who are willing to die for him on the pitch. Not an easy task.
Moyes favourite to go to Celtic. Not done great in Spain but other than that he's obviously a top league manager.
Whilst I wouldn't be against Warnock doing the job until the end of the season we have to remember that the goalposts have been moved and Promotion is now the target, forget this consolidation melarkey.......Is Warncok capable of achieving that goal? I have my doubts.....but then what do I know?
Warnock is well capable of getting teams promoted, he has done it seven times. Too late for us this season though I fear.
Colin has said he''s not interested in the Manager position as you say, but he has said he would like a Director of Football position. This makes me think Les may have been having to defend his own position in Malaysia today. If it was the Board who wanted Ramsey out, rather than Les''s recommendation, Les may not be feeling at all safe.
