I wouldn't read too much into it, he's been a regular attendee for a while now although I'm not sure if he's worn a club tie on previous visits...
That bloke typifies everything that makes me gag about today's cosmetic happy clappy management style. He's just a stuffed shirt with a false smile who says all the right things, but knows bugger-all. We need a real CEO, not someone who does a poor impression of one.
What happened with regards to his eye? Genuine question not a pisstake. Didn't he have cancer in his eye and had to have it removed? Does he have a pirate patch or a glass eye?
That would almost certainly make me re-evaluate my support of the Allams. No good would come of him being near our club again, no good at all.
I don't like Duffen, but I'd be pleased if anyone came in and ran the club while the Allams took a back seat. He was a **** before but I never thought of not attending games then. I sort of get what you mean, but Ehab doesn't even pretend not to be a twat. He's the worst of both worlds.
I genuinely think things would get worse with Duffen at the club. Things for those like you who already aren't happy would continue to be unhappy and those of us actually ok with the club as it is, would be unhappy. At least with Ehab you know what you have, you might not like him but he doesn't pretend to be anything he isn't. Duffen on the other hand, snake oil salesman springs to mind. Or Sir Hiss from Disney's Robin Hood. He makes me go cold. He's the sort who would absolutely want to buy our admiration and support without any considerations over its affordability. No, just no.
I honestly feel ambivalent about a return by Duffen. Of course he made mistakes but I dont quite understand all the hatred towards him and compared to Allam(s) he's Harold ****ing Needler. Speaking of that middle name, how about Ronnie ****ing Pickering for CEO?
If Duffen does come back there is no way he will be able to run the club like last time, making ludicrous decisions like putting Bullard on a 5 year contract at 45k a week ( for that decision only he should not be allowed within 50 miles of the KC). Russell Bartlett was an absentee owner living in Essex who had no idea what was going on in Hull & Duffen took full advantage of that. . Allam will not be such an easy ride & will be on Duffen's his back 24 x 7 wanting to see where every penny is being spent. Allam will be in his Roller & at the KC like a shot if he thinks anything funny is going on.
Surely to Allah they wouldn't be that ****ing stupid, especially when we look like we could be on the brink of a glorious season. This would be even worse than one of Assem's motivational pre-match speeches.
Yeah I think it was diagnosed as due to him having to duck at the speed of light under some bridge or other. Shame really.
Regarding the contract situation.. I think if we can keep the current squad together we'll win promotion. Then, as harsh as this sounds... does it matter if we lose those players on a free? TV money next season is going to be stupid.. £120m plus. Huddlestone is too slow for the prem and his head drops too quickly, McGregor will always be prone to howlers and Davies is good but if he doesnt want to stay we have a real decent replacement in Maguire. Basically, those who perform well this season might get a new deal, Meyler for sure, but its not the end of the world if we win promotion and lose those players.. Id hope Elmo & Meyler are offered new deals soon, the others, not so worried..
I think you may be right, although this division is notoriously fickle, the question for me is the same one as we had in the last transfer window...who will we lose before it closes. If Premier League teams come sniffing several key players may decide a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
