N'Gog was better. Ultimately he wasn't good enough for us but he worked hard and did contribute to the team. Was never good enough for us but was severely underrated anyway.
I'd agree although I'd argue that Origi has his good side too. He's quick and good on the ball, its his decision making that lets him down.
Origi is talented. He's had a tough year since he spoke about wanting to leave Lille and the fans turned on him. Prior to that, he was performing well in a wide role. One of the bright stars in France and selected to go to the World Cup. That's no small thing. Not every kid can perform straight away at such an early age - even then, we had a brilliant talent in Sterling and he got a lot of stick for his performances (disregarding his transfer), and now I've seen sections of support having a go at Can. Due to such shoddy spending, we're now heavily reliant on these kids. They will make mistakes - but they will develop. It's an exciting future.
Agree on Origi..........he's got to be given at least one season to develop himself at the club, preferably two before folks start getting on his back
Sterling was frustrating. Early on you could see there was obvious raw talent there but he lacked end product... No one thought he was dross that needed moving on though. The talent was obvious. Problem with Origi though is that the lazy type players never really adapt or get better. People above compared him to N'Gog but N'Gog was hard working at least and improved a litle. Origi barely puts any effort in. It's the unwillingness to chase a ball or try and tackle back a ball that was taken from him that worries me most about Origi. A lack of finess or special skill at his age isn't a game killer. If you don't have hunger at that age it's rather ominous.

Dont know where lazy has come into it. More sprints, more distance covered than all our other strikers have done before... Guy works harder than Sturridge and Benteke. Hes es not scored the goals but he deserved a chance and his pace and tactical awareness was key against Spurs.
you;re right and wrong, imo. Your theme of patience and development is spot on, if motherhood and apple pie. I remain to be convinced about Origi though. I thought we were supposed to be buying a young Drogba, but then again, how was Drogba doing at that age? We'll see.
