Tommy Docherty is still alive, let's get him back, he's 87, would crush everyone below new raised pension age.

Can we afford the life insurance if he's asked to take training?

docherty was a strange one he destroyed the greatest ever chelsea youth team but bought some great tallent and generally was a fabuous manager the chelsea team i would have loved to have seen was barry bridges on one wing and bobby tambling on the other imagine these two with jimmy greaves and peter osgood as strikers
it would have insured that chelsea would have won the league five seasons on the trot
why oh why docherty sold george grayham to arsenal i will never know, check his wikipedia he had scorde 15 goals a season as a midfielder so there you have it the greatest ever forward line ever seen was in chelseas grasp but docherties insanity cost chelsea very dearly, but as he got older he started to produce goood managerial skills
dont forget when docherty famous sent home all his best players in 1964 chelsea were top of the league and it would have only ever been there second title in there history,DOCHERTY DESTROYED THAT TEAM

That's enough for me. We definitely rule Docherty out of the managerial running...

PS was studying down in Southampton when Peter Osgood was playing there, and the Saints won the FA cup in 1976. Used to go to The Dell regularly, and supported them as a second team. Great privilege to see Mick Channon and Osgood play together. If Ozzie hadn't bought that pub and drunk the profits, he might still be with us

yes i was at loftus road when aussie scored a hatrick against us he was trully a brilliant player and as such is thought of in the same way as george best and jimmy greaves and bobby charlton if he hadnt have broken his leg as as 18 year old
god only knows how good osgood would have been

I used to be a fairly regular visitor to the Dell in them thar days too, Goldie, on account of a colleague of my father frequently offering his season tickets to us. Great side, with a great manager in Lawrie McMenemenemenemenemenememy.

To me, such a combination (or Colin on his own) would be OK on a caretaker basis but not a permanent basis. With all his experience, why does Warnock need an assistant who has only managed Notts County?

The right sort, along with Hill on the playing side we'd have some proper leadership. Look at Ned, is it any wonder we're rudderless?...

It was a great side, Uber, and the atmosphere in Southampton when they saw off ManU in the final with a strike by the late Bobby Stokes, was a memorable experience. I have fantasised since about similar celebrations in Shepherds Bush, but sadly the reality looks some way off

well ive never seen celebrations ever like the 24th of may;nothingf and knowbody could imagine that was going to happen so much credit to our staff for putting those flags behind our seats,i was up some serious mischief on the walk as i orderd the loftus road march to start half hour earlier, this created so much confusion,i saw 6000 rangers spread out all over the place, but it was all good fun thats the second march to wembly ive been involved in i didnt do the 82 walk or the 67 walk but did go to the matches

I was actually visiting cousins in Harrow on the day of the Cup Final and remember the journey home seeing cars and coaches all the way back down to Hampshire flying their red & white scarves out of windows, horns blaring and lots of good humour and smiles. Like you say, would be lovely to have the same for the Rs (sigh).

ive given you a like for that statement totall those chelsea were barbaric football fans of the highest order they bullied us for all those years and then were so terrified of west ham let them take the once famous shed end so yeah if i ever forget you must remind me total, but us oldies are getting a bit forgetfull and i am trying to forgive the chelse for what they did to us although we always bullied brentford so maybe we should all forget the old days and concentrate on holloway comming on board to assist neil warnock in his quest for the play offs

Ian holloway i recently saw you talking about qpr you said all 4 of your daughters wore qpr shirts and that means it can only be fate and destiny that gets you to plead for the assistant managers job
imagine warnock with two batteries rather than one you two are so simular
if you came on board ian we would be up whith in two seasons maybe even this season
