Wouldn't call it bile. Its not even close to telling a black man thes not allowed on the train.

Tbh I am surprised Liverpool haven't released a statement saying 5 times.

Did he post anonymously, ie. like under a username like this forum? If so, perhaps been a bit harshly treated. But if he's put his name to that sort of stuff, he was asking for it tbh.

That's how bigotry works - the minute you qualify the noun, bigot right there <ok>

He posted on an anonymous blog, was recorded right after Chelsea lost 3-1 to Liverpool and something about his twitter.

I'm really against this sort of thing. Its not good for anyone and gives huge power to employers. There's far better ways of handling it and you can get some good PR in doing so. All this shows is the law firm is incapable of dealing with this sort of thing and has taken the easiest option. Couldn't they have had a chat about it? Advised him about his future conduct?

When Fergie referred to the Germans as, them Germans, he wasn't being polite. He didn't get sacked. When Clarkson referred to Argentinians with offence, he wasn't sacked, he was warned. These are both far bigger figures than some insurance lawyer.

Don't disagree with any of that <ok>

But IF he had posted that on a Facebook I could understand why the lawfirm may have "had a word" or given a warning about future conduct and asked him to remove it.

Fergie and Clarkson weren't in jobs were they had to be impartial.

The law firm quite rightly has to protect it's name from disrepute and zero tolerance is hardly new in these sort of circumstances. When your job requires you to be impartial and you're seen, very publically, not to be they had no choice but to sack him.

Maybe they should stop hiring people then. Save them a whole lot of bother. God help then if any of their staff is religious or has an affiliation with any political party...

Then you remember they are lawyers.... And laugh at the suggestion they are ever impartial.

    That's potential libel right there......

You've just labelled a lawyer as a bigot on a public forum, what makes you any better than him, in relation to his public utterances?

Much as I dislike the corrupt, bent bastrd, I cant quite revel in a 79 yr old suffering a mental or physical nervous breakdown.

    It's fake

If you don't think every step of it was planned out with his lawyers then you probably also believe Sterling's move wasn't about money

You could well be right but that's besides the point. He deserves to be prosecuted and have the book thrown at him for his crimes, but what does that have to do with attacking him for ending up in hospital.
