Bonsoir à vous tous. Hope you don't mind me dropping by. May I have half of draught guinness please

Failing that, one of those tasty looking stouts you have there.

    Merci, bonne soirée

a new dawn is it not, now who said that.

e norma , may i order lunch please balti pie chips peas black pudding and beans and a pint of town crier. now i must confess to making up the welshpool oggie. but t'is time welshpool had its own item of food. an oggie is another name for a pasty. the eu has said a pasty must be cornish and made in cornwall. hence the largest manufacturers, and sponsors of plymouth argyle, are ginsters who make millions of pasties a year in callington cornwall and very nice they are. but probably jennys! oggies are better.
ee that town crier were girt lovely.

    ales on today
    -------------------
    town crier
    bathams
big nevs cloud nine all 3 regulars

    guest ales
    ----------------------

    butcombe gold
    titanic
    holdens golden.

    cider
    --------------
    westons rosy
    thatchers gold

i always preferred millicent martin. she had her own ratpack, david frost, ned sherrin, timothy bird, willie rushton, lance percival, roy kinnear etc in that great late friday night satire show, that was the week that was. one of the above had a connection with shrewsbury . who and what was the connection

Willie Rushton went to Shrewsbury School. The only good thing you can say about Shrewsbury School was that they were one of a very few public schools that played football as opposed to Rugby.
