And you accused me of tweaking the figures, 100% effort and 100% win rate are hardly the same thing.
    but nice try. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I don't expect 100% win rate - because the opposition will have some say in these matters.
I don't expect 100% effort all the time - we are, after all, humans.
I am saying that there have been too many occasions when the performance is nowhere near 100% - and, in particular, when you get stuffed by a lower league team who lost their last home game 1-5, then it points to a sub-standard performance.
I would estimate that our performance level at Stevenage was around 50% now - was it acceptable for you ?

We both support the same team. We may have different opinions on individual aspects of our team. I dare to presume that you might share the disappointment of the result and the sub-standard performance at Stevenage - certainly this is admitted by JE.
I would be more than happy to accept 57% of the league points available - and even willing to accept a 50% win rate.
I can accept my team losing - but what is not acceptable to me is when my team does not try -that was evident on Saturday - surely you accept that point - so, as a paying supporter, I am definitely entitled to express my dissatisfaction on these occasions.

ps I still wouldn't accept my meal only being 57% cooked !

    Always,
I haven't said I was happy with a 3 - 0 drubbing from a team at the lower end of league 2, I don't think we've played well since September (just been lucky)
Just to emphasise my earlier point, it was Loft who started Saturday, and there is the problem for me, poor management.
Why didn't we bring on McGlashan instead of Williamson? Why keep playing with a narrow midfield diamond when other teams have it pegged, with the strikers misfiring why not play with a 5 man midfield, 2 wide, Dack in the hole, 2 box to box. it could help with some of our defensive frailties as well.

there! I've vented my spleen, do I feel any better? not really as Jed won't take any notice what so ever.

Grumpy....we can only hope he visits this site. A manager needs to take heed of fans concerns and should keep himself abreast of the feelings and comments.

No, we're not managers (thankfully) but we're the end customer........

Thanks for clearing up that you wasn't happy. I also believe that we're getting very close to agreeing about the root cause of the problems - I have 'held back' on my 'criticism' of JE - because I'd be shot down by people pointing to our league position. I too feel that we've gone backwards for a few weeks. Eventually it was all going to end in tears.
It is my hope that JE will use the experience of our Cup defeat to sort out underlying problems - for the benefit of league results. If he fails to recognise where there are cracks, and addresses these issues, then we will continue to slide down the table - where 57% of effort will achieve approximately 11th place.

I've been looking at our last 6 games and who was starting in midfield.

    Stevenage 3 - 0 loss..........Morris Loft Houghton Osadabe. 3 goals conceded.
    Walsall 3 - 2 loss..........Morris Loft McGlashan Dack, 3 goals conceded.
    Southend 1 - 1 draw.........Morrris Houghton McGlashan Dack. 1 goal conceded.
    Scunthorpe 2 - 1 win..........Wright Osadabe Hesenthaler Dack. 1 goal conceded.
Crewe 1 - 0 win...........Wright McGlashan Hesenthaler Dack. clean sheet.
    Chesterfield 3 - 1 win..........Wright McGlashan Hesenthaler Dack 1 goal conceded.

you may or may not see a pattern.

Our other games where we conceded more than 1 goal are Oldham Barnsley Colchester, look them up and see if they add to the pattern.
