Broccoli soup with a dollop of cream and two huge slices of homemade brown bread. 9/10. I made it, it can only be great
Well done Stick (on both your winner and the correct answer). Your ‘Barney Bonus’ is in the post. That Bumper stat was courtesy of last week’s ‘Weekender’. Another highly surprising one is that in the last 10 years Alan King has had 32 bumper runners at Cheltenham and just one has won! The ‘county set’ have, I understand, written to him telling the old boy to buck, I said buck, his ideas up.
Intersting runner in the last at Carlisle in the form of Threeways (a favourite party game at chuckle towers). Ronald O'Leary has a 30% strike with him bumper runners in England and is not sending the beast across the choppy Irish sea for a day out. 2/1 is normally a little skinny for me but I'm willing to have a flutter due to the fact he is 2/2 with his bumper runners at this track.
Defy Logic has been fatally injured on the gallops Paul Nolan has said. "He was doing a routine warm-up when he was fatally injured. It is a massive blow to the stable. We were delighted to have him back in training, having missed all of last season and to have him so close to a return to the track is sickening" Such sad news. R.I.P Defy Logic.
Very sad to hear that, he was a really talented novice and it was so great to hear that he was back in training a few weeks back. It really is a cruel, cruel game at times. RIP and condolences to all those connected with the horse.
That's just great, LAMPS delays the start by five minutes of not wanting to know and then plants himself at the start....fanfuckingtastic!
Planted itself at the start. You could see throughout the whole build up that it was having none of it. The jockey had to get off and walk it to the start!
Haven’t seen the race but Lamps has a history of being a bit of a rogue at the start. Today it would appear though he's been a Rogue with a capital 'R'!
Lamps refused to start in the 2:00 at Southwell, so we are refunding all singles as a free bet. #PPValue Not a lot of use in the middle of my yankee though is it Paddy!
Flemenstar heading for the John Durkan early next month, the race he won almost 3 years ago. Stephen Curran (owner) said "he badly needed the run and got tired but he's back to his old self. He's came out of the race well and he's well this morning". Excellent stuff, look forward to seeing the old boy bowl along from the front trying to regain his crown.
I'm spitting feathers too. I had a Lucky 15 with him as the fourth one following SILSOL (5/2), VIRNON(4/1) and ROSA FLEET (5/1).
