Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of Saturday's Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion:
    on Bellerin…

Hector is back in full training.

    on Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain…
Ramsey should be available on Monday, and maybe Chamberlain as well.

    on Walcott…

He is doing well, he could be a bit ahead of schedule but still you count a few weeks more while Rosicky, Wilshere, Welbeck will be later.

on if Koscielny is in right state of mind for Saturday…
I will talk with him. It’s a big game for us. I have not talked to him yet, but I will talk to him to see if he’s completely recovered and focused.

After a poor showing against Spurs there's no better game for our boys to put things right and put in a performance.

Hopefully some players will be back from injury and others won't have become injured by the time we play this one. The international break has come at a good time for some players to get a rest and recover a bit.

I always hate international breaks, not this time. Hopefully we can have 5 players back when the next round begins, Ramsey, Walcott, Bellerin, Oxo, Ospina, more than likely to have the first 3 back.

I thought Walcott was out until early December?

For once, I think this international break is welcome and has come at the right time for us.

We were poor against Spurs and that was mainly down to having too many players out and not enough time to rest those that were in the squad. If we can get Bellerin, Walcott, Koscielny (back to his best) and Ramsey back, then it will be a different outfit altogether.

Ran into this little factoid on Twitter

The Flam playing vs. City it is <whistle>

Anyway we really should know what to expect from this game. Pulis will sit deep and then try to hit us on the counter so we can expect to dominate possession (though they are at home so they may be more open which would suit us better). Key will be scoring first and forcing them to open up as I have no doubt Pulis would easily settle for a point. With players coming back from injury and City playing Pool this will be a good chance to go outright top and set us up for a good run before we play City in December.

    http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

This site is usually pretty accurate and has consistently listed that Theo would be out for a week longer than Oxo, Ramsey and the rest.

I fear that it will take a few weeks for Walcott to be anywhere near full fitness, but that we'll be forced to use him, he'll stretch too far and then aggravate the injury then, like you Sanj, I reckon we won't see him until the new year. Same with Ramsey.

Walcott is a huge miss for us. Problem is, we need to get a handle on these injuries and the length of them. What's the point of having all these players if they keep on getting injured and for longer than stated. The longer players like Walcott are out, the lower our chances of winning the Premiership, it's as simple as that. Giroud on his own isn't good enough and neither is Walcott, but having both makes us a more rounded and dangerous proposition.

Did anyone see Souness' take on why we get so many injuries, especially "stretching" ones ?

    No what did he say?

I've got to say there did seem to be a lot of validity when people said we didn't warm up properly (or in Theo's case at all!) against Shef Wednesday, and that resulted in the injuries.

Don't you find it strange that we should be discussing this at all? I mean, they are professional athletes that should be warming up as a given. Even I warm up a little before a gym session! When i go that is...

Souness thinks it's down to our style of play, his reasoning is that we run with the ball more than any other team subsequently that means there is more risk of our players stretching for the ball

Funny because before (particularly 2007-11) the theory was that because we played possession football our players were always standing still when taking the ball and challenge and do unable to ride the challenge.
