Am I right in thinking he's still out of contract at the end of the season? Anyone think he'd be a good signing? Big, good in the air, good touch and had started to find the back of the net this season. I think Bolton paid about £10m for him, wonder if a bid of 3-4mill might tempt them with him set to leave for free in the summer. Thoughts?

Could be one of Brucie's "2 on the radar"?

I think he'd work well with Gyan. 6ft3 good in the air, could open things up for Gyan, similarly imo to how Kenwyne did for Bent. With regards to him only having one good game ever? He has 10 league goals this season, something to consider.

Seemed to take him forever to get used to the EPL. I don't think he is one of the two on the radar.

Every now and then something comes from left of field. I think he has got to be eyeing a striker from abroad to bring in on loan. I also suspect that whoever it is, may have played in the EPL before. Thinking caps on chaps!

Not got the right attitude, was rubbish until he needed to put himself in the shop window for a new contract. None of the players we have been liinked with are right for us. Which I am sure is why we have not signed anyone. I trust Bruce I am sure he will find the right man soon. My opinion is it's Welbeck and if we have to spend a fortune we should do so as getting the wrong player could cost us more in the long term.

Davies too old; Salamander has no 'spirit' as per LostinVegas - certainly not the right spirit to stick it out at ours nor the others as he suggests. Don't shoot me, but Fuller has the balls to suit as a short-term filip only - although not for 5 bleedin mill. Welbeck has completely the right attitude....skills and on the right stage of his learning curve. I'd be gob-smacked if fergie let him come. just can't see it unfortunately.

I suppose he will last another couple of years and don't get me wrong, he's a great player that I've always admired, but SB is always mentioning his "young squad" so I think he is looking for someone a little younger. My honest opinion of Fuller is he is a good player, that SB has up his sleeve as an insurance policy, if his other targets don't materialise. I find it very hard to believe, that he will risk going to the window close with only Gyan fit.

Agreed. We can't rely just on Gyan and some attacking midfielders - Bruce must have an insurnace policy in mind. If Gyan were to get injured we'd be a bit fooked. We need a 'target-man' type player though to complement Gyan, Fraser & Danny.
