Young is embarrassing, any Utd fan that defends his antics is just a fool. It's not a one off, if it was then fair enough. This has been going on for years and he continues to embarrass himself. Really poor attitude to have, clearly just a sneaky little cheat. No respect for the game whatsoever. Sooner he hangs his boots up the better. More pundits should ridicule him publicly in my opinion
The thing is I agree with you about Young's antics but also wonder how Liverpool fans who defended a racist, cheating cannibal can take the moral high ground.
I actually wanted Suarez out the club after the racism incident. But hey don't let the generalisation and facts get in the way Stan
Right after the incident I nearly fell out with my whole board for wanting him out. That's a fact. I looked into the whole argument in more detail, and although didn't defend him, tried to look at it from both angles. The conclusion is - I couldn't give a ****
I loved Young's cross yesterday. Shame it was at the half way line. Then there's the rest of his game. Was he tripping yesterday?
You sound like a scouser. As a United fan you should know Haaland retired from an injury to the other knee! You're basically calling Keane not fit to wear the shirt for a poor ill advised foul. A lot of players have done that.
There wasn't a lot to forgive to be honest. At first I was quite outraged with him as the media went bat crazy about him being a racist. I made my comments quite clear, to which a lot of Liverpool fans took offense! After reading further into it, it was a racial slur (not good), and possibly a cultural mix up. Either way he's a prick and the whole fiasco just showed how fickle football fans are. The fact he was an outrageously good footballer, made the forgiveness easy for most. The way I see it is he made a racial comment, and paid the penalty. Not much else to say on it to be honest! One thing I'm sure about is that he's not 'a racist' but he did commit 'racial abuse'. Big deal? Not really
He was poor. But then we know he's poor on the right side and he's certainly not a right back. A very odd selection given the fact that Jones was available, although he's not a right back either but at least he's a defender! My 9 year old asked me yesterday why we don't have a proper back up to Darmian. Good question!
Its almost as if you've never seen a manger use a player in a variety of positions the way this all seems very new to you...
No problem a manager using a player in a variety of positions if the player is suited to them. Playing Young at right back is akin to playing Denis Irwin on the right wing.
Heresy! Denis Irwin would have been great on the right wing. If you said Gary Neville on the left wing you might have a better point...
Young anywhere on the left (as seen last season) is very good - reliable and effective. On the right, just wrong footed.
He's better than Jones. Shame he likes grass and seems to jump head first towards it at at any given opportunity. Still better than Jones though tbf.
He's right footed! Just seems to lack any sort of positional awareness on the right, having spent too long as an 'inside out' winger
Young as RB has happened a handful of times to be fair. If we had any kids who played RB, we might have given them a go but Janco left. He's probably thinking, ****, I would have played that game.
I meant he wrong foots himself. Spatial awareness for his runs and general attacking/defensive play on that right side? Yeh a good point. But also for some reason when he's on the left, he's great at crossing in on his left or cutting in and crossing towards goal on his right. But on the right hand side the use of his right to cross in isn't there.
