Watched the game again and the body language of our players today was terrible! They didn't seem up for it at all.

Very strange game. Pretty unbelievable we came away with 3 points. The lad sat next to me was wigging right out. Could not believe that the Cherries were doing so little with their position. It was just left to right time after time. TBF I think we were pretty well organised defensively so ended up getting away with it. They had nothing much clear cut and Elliot did well when required.

Its 3 points but it doesnt feel like a step forward after recent performances. At least there was some defensive backbone today which is encouraging.
Those knocking Dummett are misplaced. He put in a good shift today. His distribution is **** but the way we played today it really didnt make much difference.
I dont think McLaren deserves stick for today either. There is not much you can do to change things when all 4 of your midfield are having stinkers.
Hopefully we have 2weeks to forget about the performance but have the confidence that comes from being outside the relegation zone.

Not sure we watched the same game. Dummett got nut-megged at least 3 times in the one game, managed to turn a promising attack for us into a clear cut chance for them (also leading to a corner), gave the ball away loads of times, was woefully out of position more times than I can count, his first touch isn't even worthy of 2nd division and he is incredibly slow to react. Even Colo shouted at him. Colo FFS.
For the first time ever, I think Haidara is genuinely a better left back than Dummy.

I suspect this would have been a defeat with Haidara playing. His defensive abilities leave me cold and lead to Coloccini being pulled out of position. Of course that could be due to Wiji playing deeper.

I'm with Jak on this one. I know Dummett had a few horror moments in the game today but he also made some really important tackles, headers and blocks. Haidara has the horror moments without any of the good moments to redeem himself!

Do they not have places in Newcastle where the poor bloke can go and get a decent meal, I've seen more fat on a butchers pencil

I appreciate I must havd missed some of those challenges you refer tk Nev, but overall I thought Dummy was poor. He frequently looks out of position or doesn't know which way to turn.

Also, for me heading was a huge issue yesterday throughout the team. That spell whdn they had about 6 or 7 corners/free kicks in quick succession we didn't win a single header in our own box. That's partly why Elliot had to make so many saves. It was a big worry as we just seemed to be lacking any kind of aerial presence. One of the few times we won a defensive header was when Mitro was back defending - which means the ball just comes straight back anyway if your strikers are defending.

Food for thought, the team that dominated Bournemouth have to play Leicester in a couple of weeks

I thought Dummett was poor but suggesting Haidara is better is crazy talk. Obi - go eat a burger or something, you are obviously suffering from a lack of sustenance
