Speaking of which I'm heading South today for a bit of a session with the in-laws. It'll be awash with lager top.

Don't go to Dirty Dicks pub Liverpool Street in the City of London. A pint of lager costs £5.10 how I laughed. Even my cockney friend thought it was expensive. I dare to think what they charge to add a splash of lemonade.

I can't understand anyone putting fruit juice of any type in beer
You may as well just say "I'd like people to think I'm a beer drinker, but I don't actually like the taste of it. Could you put something in it to disguise the flavour please?"
Grow up. If you don't like beer that's fine, drink what you do like

You would be correct. I dont mind a bit of lime in lager in the summer time, very refreshing.

Just drink lime juice if you don't like lager
    There's no shame ...

Of course, he's the best! Innit?
Changing gear a little, I drank many a pint of Boddies with Simmo at the Fairhaven Hotel in Lytham, when he was playing for Blackpool. I once asked him who was the most skilful player he'd played alongside. Surprisingly, he said Alan Suddick. He said Waggy was brilliant, but Suds was even better. I watched him a few times at B'pool, and he was certainly very good indeed ... but better than Waggy? Naah.

I probably should have said that drinking it every day for thirty five years is bad for you, the odd bottle of IPA on a weekend is unlikely to be life threatening.

More public service broadcasts to follow...
